In 1965, the US Navy experimented with several versions of a green camouflage paint scheme on carrier aircraft. It helped little in combat, however, and created confusion on the carrier deck at night. This aircraft was converted to F-4G in April 1964, back to F-4B October 1966, converted to F-4N in October 1973. SOC on February 22, 1984. During the Vietnam War in 1966 this a/c served with VF-213, later probably transferred to VF-121.
