  1. I just picked it up as well..though am still playing SH3 (which I enjoy because one can mod/tweak it ad nausea)
  2. The resurgence of Mother Russia is the best news the American Military can have...you just can not have a Batman without a Joker. Oooo....20 fighter wings, 600 ship navy, 1,000,000 man army...more heavy bombers than we have total inventory now...wait what was the bad thing?
  3. they are on to 163.75 now...tried it yet? of course the latest are not always the best...I remember the 91.31 debacle all too well just a thought
  4. ArmourDave...man what happened to him? Thought he moved off to Thailand to teach English...imagine that, the English teaching people to speak "English"...bloody Imperialist Stiglr, that transvestite-wannabe! Glad to be rid of him...now if we could just eliminate one more... I still remember the first multiplayer sessions, and some Belgian waxing me out of the skies CFS is WAY easier/friendlier to mod, multiplay, and has perhaps a larger fan base (over the years/series), but then it just is not the same But the first time I took a Nigerian-flagged Jaguar "downtown" and didnt have to hit an evilcommbuilding and the sky was azure all because of mods to a game built to let it all happen, that was very enjoyable admittedly I liked LOMAC and 1946 better as sims, but as a game none compares to SPF1 (close second FAR CRY)
  5. the installs have to be exact...period...kind of a burden, but workable when we get on line we coordinate exactly what each other has, and then that is usually limited to only a very few changes well worth it when it works, but I think you may be making too many changes and since the game needs exact matches it spends too much time checking rather than doing the math just a thought cheers
  6. for me, I played the non-Walmart game and was not impressed...then found the community on line and the game really opened up...heck, I even made some friends playing this game and that is always cool the game is not spectacular, but the modders have kept it on the hard drive for 4 years now so cheers to the mod community, and 3d wire!
  7. ah...saw this over at the C5 site...nice graphic by the way this is an awesome idea cheers

  12. man...the dragonfly would be cool...even better if it had Royal Thai markings... cheers
  13. so...after my rant, a kind gentleman showed me the Khorat that AD (and if others worked on it to bring it to the game, thank you as well) built...I have been to Khorat and flown out of Khorat and sweated in its buildings and eaten Thai food and wondered what I had drank the night before all the whilst cavorting with Thai and Sing fighter pilots and built warplans in Khorat...a very good friend of mine was a maintenace officer at Khorat and watched those glorious Thuds roar into battle from its loving, albeit sweaty, arms the model built was intended to represent the base in its heyday during the Viet Nam war when Thuds were launching to fend off communism, the Red Menance, from yet another nation it is a work of art...the fence line is even uncomfortably close to the threshold like it should be...one of the buildings that I used to work in? recognized it from the air if you dont have this mod...get it...live it...love it...be a part of it...we squawk about realism and we want a game that is fun and gives us a bit of a taste of what it would be like to be a modern Knight, a combat pilot in his element, war. this mod does wonders to enliven that experience and build a step closer to that idea, the very idea that this industry ws based on in the first place...suspending reality and letting be whomever we want In the Thai language, Nakhon Ratchasima, is a wonderful place and rich in history and culture...from a female warrior who saved her people single-handedly from an invading army, to premiere air base dealing with the very threat of the end of the Western way of life so oddly removed from anything Western, to the movie set for Mortal Kombat...this place has seen a lot...literally thousands of Americans and her Allies have passed through here, brothers-in-arms to keep the peace and preserve life...and this doesnt even mention the incredible Thai people and all they have done and the fantastic allies they have been and the culture of theirs that is beyond compare I just want to say thanks, this base means a lot to me, and this mod makes me remember that place succinctly This is what this community is all about Thank you again, and if you are ever in my part of the world (or vacationing in Thailand) AD, consider you alcohol on my tab cheers
