  1. Well, I went the hard way and added the rail to the F-5EM, released by denissoliveira. I guess watching the missiles hanging from a pylon without rail was a bigger pain for me than doing the necessary ini edit... By the way I prefer adding the rails as empty fuel tank with a non-jettison entry in the data.ini of the aircraft. Of course that works just for aircraft with few weapon stations.
  2. Raven made a suitable rail for cases like this, just not sure where (in which topic) he posted it...
  3. That's OK Stary, I just wanted to direct mono27 to the aircrafts. Great pits!
  4. I have not come accross a MiG-19PF version in real life and the sources I have read (including Yefim Grodon's "bible" on the MiG-19) indicate just MiG-19P, MiG-19PM and MiG-19PT as major versions of the MiG-19P (the numerous test-beds and radar/missile, etc. upgrades excluded). You can use that cockpit with: - MiG-19P available here: http://combatace.com/files/file/10397-mig-19p-farmer-b/ - MiG-19PM available here: http://combatace.com/files/file/10400-mig-19pm-farmer-d/ - MiG-19PT available here: http://combatace.com/files/file/10399-mig-19pt-farmer-b/

I cannot see the first picture, but on the second one, that looks like a baggage pod to me.
  6. I am not an expert modder, but I do like fiddling with the data.ini file of the aircraft, so I do apologize if the below proposal is a stupid one. I think the only only way to achieve this complex movement would be by 2 separate animations. Animation 1 - using for example the hook animation control or an automatic speed related control to have the flap move back and forth (Drawings 1 and 2 in your first post, RAVEN) Animation 2 - using the flap control (manually activated) to have the flaps move down in take-off and landing configuration (Drawings 3 and 4 in your first post, RAVEN) I have not seen such an arrangement in any model I have tried in the SF series, so I am not sure if it will really work, but at least I cannot think of a reason why it should not work.
  7. Hi Julhelm, I am sorry, there must be a misunderstanding. I am not putting to question how and why you choose which aircraft or which version (final or experimental) you would model - that is entirely up to you of course.
  8. Apparently wind-tunnel tests have been made with scale models with different vertical tail confugurations. Some pictures posted here: http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?166065-YF-23-Black-Widow-II-pictures/page8
  9. Geary, my post was addressed to RAVEN and the pylons that he was going to create. He was thinking of adding them via fake pilot method, I offered an alternative.
  10. Another possibility is to make the pylons weapons of 2IR launch rail type with a RackSpecificStationCode entry to limit them to appear only for the F-100F. It should work as the pylons will load 2 IRM as designed for 2IR type.
  11. Do you thing the drawings at airwar.ru will help for the pylons? Do you need more reference material?

  13. Guys, may I ask for your advice? If I understand correct there is no MER/TER type for EOGB. MER/TER are available just for BOMB, LGB. I have been thinking of a way round that limitation and one thing that came to mind was to make "fake EOGR" out of the EOGB and by using the SpecificStationCode entry code that could load only on particular type of MER/TER. The thing is, one would still need the "fake EOGR" to drop like a bomb and not fire away like a rocket. I tried editing the respective entries in the weapons ini file to give the rocket no booster and no sustainer motor, etc., but then once the fake EOGR is released, it immediately explodes. So, what do you think, should I experiment with very low values for the booster and sustainer motor or is there any other way to achieve the effect or may be the whole idea is total crap?
  14. Yes, a test bed for the Tu-144. Main landing gear is in such a place that does not leave much room for more than the standard 2 pylons. Still it will be cool to have it in SF world.
  15. F-104C_66 engine nozzle animation fixed, may be it is fixed on the A and the other C versions.
  16. CombatAce addiction?

Does it exsist? I am starting to believe it does for me. Checking every 15 minutes if the site is back up and running cannot be called otherwise, I guess. Thank you, Erik for taking good care of the home of this community!
  17. Some pictures here (but no top view, just from various angles of both the singe-seater and the two-seater): http://jetphotos.net/showphotos.php?offset=0&where=search|Mikoyan-Gurevich%20Mig-29|-2|Bangladesh|-2||15|1|||||||Mikoyan-Gurevich%20Mig-29|Bangladesh|-2|-2|||15|1||-2|-2||||all|2||||||-2|||1|||||||||
  18. Do you need any help with Bulgarian numbers?
  19. Have you checked at airwar.ru? http://www.airwar.ru/other/draw_fn.html
  20. Enoc, Eduard models offer an excellent 1/48 Su-22 limited edition model kit with lots of stencils and the instruction sheet for it is available for download in PDF here: http://www.eduard.com/store/Eduard/Plastic-kits/Limited-edition/Aircraft/1-48/Su-22-Su-17M-3-1-48.html May be it will be possible to use the instruction sheet plus the model kit decal sheet as a guide for the stencil placement and similar-looking stencils can be taken from the profiles published for the Su-27 and MiG-29 at the link in my previous post. A good view of the decla sheet is available here: http://www.internetmodeler.com/artman/publish/flaviation/Eduard-1-48-Su-22-Su-17M3-Fitter.php I think you will come up with a very convincing, if not perfect, result. Hope that helps a little.
  21. Found the site I was looking for, unfortunately no Su-17/20/22 profile there, so no good for stencling - http://www.tailormadedecals.com/index.php?option=com_docman&Itemid=34
  22. Well, I hope I find again the site - stupid me, I forgot to bookmark it On the other hand, I think Soulfreak or was that Sundowner posted a link to it here at CA, I hope I find it (will do my best)...
  23. Thank you, guys! Have you come accross the information that the Su-17/20/22 family had 2 configurations for pylons under the fuselage? First - the 4 pylon configuration, 2 pairs as in the screenshots above, used to load free-fall bombs of different size. Second a 2 pylon configurantion - for rocket pods, missiles, fuel tanks, bombs of MER. Those 2 pylons were not fitted in the same spots as the front pylons in the 4-pylon configuration, but slightly further back, in a some-what middle position. As I see (an greatly appreciate) you are aiming at a higly detailed model, I thought I should mention that.
