    1. F-89 Scorpion Pack for SF2

      F-89 Scorpion Pak for SF2 6/4/2010

      -- Version 2, 3/3/2016 --

This package includes the full set of F-89 Scorpions, from MontyCZ's original C & D version, PLUS the variant mods I'd created, giving the H, J (Early) and J (Late). The various readmes for the sub-variants are included in their specific aircraft folder, just for historical purposes.

This package has been peaked and tweeked for use in SF2 =ONLY=, and is NOT designed for use on SF/Wo* series 1st Gen sims. It makes use of certain elements found ONLY, and usable ONLY, in SF2.

Everything is included -aircraft, inis, skins, decals, weapons, pilots. =EXCEPT= a cockpit. Due to changes in SF2's internal coding, these aircraft now make use of the stock in-game F-4B via ini edits that through sorcery now reach back into the cat files, and create usable cockpits without the need of a cockpit folder. How this works, I don't know or care; but that it =does= is a wonderful thing!!

On such aircraft that have operating canopies (those that use the F-89D lod), the canopy works via the Standard Manual Animation Keystroke ™, shift/0.

This package is designed to REPLACE the original set, and will drop right over it, providing you have it already. If you don't, no worries! Just install as normal.

As always the standard, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please READ them!

      Good Hunting!

    2. Vought F8U-1 (F-8A) Crusader for SF2

The first production model of the Crusader was the F8U-1,which was later redesignated the F-8A. It first flew on September 20, 1955, and 318 were built between 1956 and 1958. The initial order had been for 448 aircraft, but the last 130 were delivered as F8U-1Es (F-8Bs). The first thirty aircraft were fitted with the Pratt & Whitney J57-P-12 engine, but this was replaced with the more powerful -4 version and in all subsequent F-8As. The original thirty were then retrofitted with the -4 as well. This made the F-8A a Mach 1.5 aircraft. Other improvements added during the production run included the addition of a retractable in-flight refueling probe in a blister on the forward left side of the fuselage. This was begun with the fiftieth production aircraft, and retrofitted to the earlier airframes. The original Vought ejection seat was replaced with the Martin Baker F5 seat.

The F-8A was armed with four 20mm canon, thirty-two 2.75-inch rockets in a drawer in the lower fuselage, and two Sidewinder missiles could be carried on fuselage stations. The AN/APG-30 gunsight radar and fire control system was installed for weapons delivery. The first aircraft was accepted for service in December 1956, just four years and three months after the issue of the original requirement by the Navy. It was delivered to VF-32 in March, 1957, with VMF-122 being the first Marine squadron to receive the Crusader. The first carrier deployment was with VF-32 on board the USS Saratoga, (CVA-60).

After being replaced with later versions of the Crusader, the F-8As were relegated to training roles, serving as advanced single-seat trainers. The designation TF-8A was often applied to these aircraft.

Your F-8A has early markings for either VA-32 or VF-122. The rocket armament IS INCLUDED but you will not see the drawer open and close.

This mod has been extensively tested in SF2V.
A read-me file with installation steps and CREDITS included.

    6. CAC Sabre Mk. 31 / 32

In 1951, CAC obtained a licence agreement to build the F-86. It was decided to power the aircraft using a licence-built version of the Rolls-Royce Avon R.A.7. This involved a re-design of the fuselage as the Avon was shorter, wider and lighter than the General Electric J47 that powered the North American-built aircraft. Because of the engine change the type is often referred to as the Avon Sabre. To accommodate the Avon, over 60% of the fuselage was redesigned along with a 25% increase in the size of the air intake. Another major revision was in replacing the F-86F's six machine guns with two 30mm Aden cannons, while other changes were also made to the cockpit and to provide an increased fuel capacity.

The RAAF operated the CA-27 from 1956 to 1971.

In 1958–60, CAC Sabres completed numerous ground attack sorties against communist insurgents in Malaya, during the Malayan Emergency, with No. 3 Squadron RAAF and No. 77 Squadron RAAF. Following the Emergency, they remained in Malaysia at RAAF Butterworth. From August 1964 onwards these aircraft responded several times to incursions by Indonesian MiG-21 fighters. However, the Indonesian aircraft always turned back before crossing the international boundary.

In 1962, a detachment of eight CA-27s, which was later expanded and designated No. 79 Squadron RAAF (79 Sqn), was sent from Butterworth to RAAF Ubon, Ubon, Thailand, to assist the Thai and Laotian governments in actions against communist insurgents. Australia and Thailand were allies of South Vietnam and the United States during the Vietnam War, and 79 Sqn performed air defence for United States Air Force attack and bomber aircraft based at Ubon. The squadron never engaged North Vietnamese aircraft or ground forces and was withdrawn in 1968.

Former RAAF CAC Sabres were operated by the Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM) between 1969 and 1972. Following the establishment of better relations with Indonesia, 23 CAC Sabres were donated to the Indonesian Air Force (TNI-AU) between 1973 and 1975; five of these were former Malaysian aircraft.

    7. F-86D-31 Flyvevåbnet (SF-2 Upgrade)

The North American Aviation F-86D Sabre (sometimes called the "Sabre Dog" or "Dog Sabre") was a transonic jet all-weather interceptor.
Based on North American's F-86 Sabre day fighter, the F-86D had only 25 percent commonality with other Sabre variants, with a larger fuselage, larger afterburning engine, and a distinctive nose radome.

    9. SF2 Canadair Sabre Mk.6, RCAF and AMI

      Canadair Sabre Mk.6 Pack, RCAF/AMI

      = For SF2, Any & All (Full-5 Merged Reccomended) =

      - version 2.0, updated 2/13/2016 -

This package contains new or rebuilt Canadair Mk.6 Sabres, as used by the RCAF and Italian AMI in the mid-late 50s and 60s.
Contained within are skin/decals for the following squadrons:

      RCAF:
      442 Squadron (new)
444 Squadron (new skin rebuild, based on Tim Canada work)

      AMI:
      2 Aerobrigata
4 Aerobrigata (new skin rebuilds, based off spitwulf's originals)
and a "Generic" Euro camo (called, oddly enough "Euro" skin for any other NATO/European users (except South Africa). All the included skins are in the Euro camo pattern.

New skins for all were created using ravenclaw's superb templates. All skins are in jpg format. Almost all markings are decals, excepting special vert fin/rudder RCAF unit IDs. Decal randomization is TRUE for all skins. New DDS damage textures are included.
A new camo drop tank is supplied, but all rockets, bombs, etc can be found in the GunnyPak. The sounds included are the same ones as used on the RAF and RAAF Sabre Pak, recently released.
An all new, SF2-compliant FM was created for these aircraft; it flys like it should! A new userlist ini is also included.

Sharp eyes will note that "WGermany" is =NOT= included in the Userlist; the BLW aircraft were excellently handled by the GMG Group, and are downloadable here at CA.
This one is slightly diferentiated; when in-game, you'll see "Canadair Sabre Mk.6" in the aircraft drop-down selection window

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please READ them! Also, the "Notes" section for a more detailed change/correction list. The original readme from my SF/Wo* release is included, just for fun. Tim "Canada" Elliot's readme for the 414 skin is also included, as is one of Spitwulf's for the AMI skins.

      Happy Landings!

      Changes for Version 2:

    10. Canadair Sabre Mk.4 Pack, for SF2

Canadair Sabre Mk.4 Pack, Royal Air Force/Royal Canadian Air Force

      = For SF2, Any & All (Full-5 Merged Reccomended) =

Version 2.0, updated 2/13/2106 -- see change log

This package contains a complete revamp, for SF2, of my RAF Sabre Mk.4, originally released for SF/Wo* in 2006.

Contained within are skin/decals for the following RAF Squadrons, and one RCAF squadron, from the 2nd TAF based in Germany in the 1950s. These 3 are in "standard" period Euro Camo:

      3 Squadron
      92 Squadron
      112 Squadron (Sharkmouths)

and a revamped 1stGen RCAF skin:

414 Squadron, RCAF "Black Knights" (natural metal)

New skins for all were created using ravenclaw's beyond superb templates. All skins are in jpg format. Decal randomization is TRUE for all skins. New DDS damage textures are included, as is an all new SF2 version of my "Box Art" Hangar Screen. No weapons are supplied; drop tanks, rockets, bombs, etc can be found in the GunnyPak.
National insignia, finflash and 1 set of tail numbers reference stock items. Make sure you are current in your SF2 install! (read: I'm using RAF Hunter letters)
An all new, SF2-compliant FM was created for these aircraft; it flys like it should! A userlist ini is also included.

    11. SF2:E F-86A Sabre, USAFE, Pack

      SF2:E F-86A Sabre, USAFE, Pack 2/11/16

      -- For SF-2E, FULL-5 merged, Reccomended --

This mod is a full aircraft package, containing the F-86A Sabre as used by the USAFE during the early-to mid 1950s. This pack contains only those aircraft as used in Europe.
Like the KAW Sabre pak (albeit this containing only 1 airplane), all needed bits (Effects, Sounds, Pilot, etc) are included.

Again, as a reminder, this is a European-centric aircraft package only (SF2:E)!!

In this package are F-86A Sabres from the 81st FIW, USAFE, as based in the UK ...

      116th FIS
      91st FIS
      92nd FIS

Almost all markings are decals, with the exceptions of the tail fin color bands. A "fake SqTail" decal is included and will activate the Squadron Displayed Name on the Loadout Screen for those units listed in the game's SquadronList.ini (91st & 92nd). The 116th is not, but if you wish to add it, feel free to do so. Decal randomization is TRUE. All skins are in jpg format. 24 Serials and Buzz Numbers are included for all 3 skins, and are accuate for A Model Sabres, but just not for the squadrons represented. Consider them 'generic' for this purpose. The Hangar & Loading screen remain their "KAW" versions.

The Data and Loadout ini have been tweeked as per the recently released F-86F-40 USAFE pak, and Ground Attack (CAS, Strike) mission tasking has been activated. Operational service dates remain the same, even though the F-86A did not arrive in the UK before 1951.
REMINDER -- the mission tasking and loadouts are =ONLY= for use by American Sabres (this version) as used in the SF2:E mods folder!!! Don't use it anywhere else! See "Notes" for more information, if wishing to use the modified data ini in your KAW mods folder.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them! Also, as this mod pack is specificly designed for an SF2:E (Europe) install, PLEASE read the "Notes" section for important information.
It is HIGHLY ADVISED you read this document through, after unzipping, but BEFORE installing to you game.
Just so we're clear on everything, this is for use in Europe (SF2:E) ONLY!!!

      Happy Landings!

Well here is a better explanation of my breakdown logic.

B-52G_59 and the B-52H_61: The years they came into service and were all nuke and Houndog carriers. So for you SAC fans this is the cold warrior at its best.

B-52G_72: This version went to Vietnam for Linebacker with the ability to carry only 27 bombs and very inferior ECM.

B-52H_75: While the G was being used for a conventional role, the H were still all nuke aircraft. (it could carry 27 iron bombs if needed) This one represents the year it got the EVS, new ECM and its carries gravity nukes and SRAM's.

B-52G_77: Again with the H is received the upgraded ECM, EVS and kept its ability to carry iron in the bay and is set up for a its nuclear missions as well.

B-52H_88: While the G was getting more of the conventional role, in 1988 the H soldiered on being an all nuke bomber. In this year we see it in its new paint and carrying an all AGM-86B ALCM loadouts.

B-52G_82: This is the year the G went operational with the AGM-86B ALCM

B-52H_93: New paint, upgraded ECM and no gun. This one also had the ability to fire the AGM-142 Have Nap.
Note: In the loadout screen it will say it is empty but the black dots next to it will be full. That means they are loaded but there is some glitch in the sim preventing it from showing up in the loadout screen because of the data link pod. It does work though once you are in the sim.

B-52G_89: Here is then it picked up a serious conventional mission with the ability to carry iron on the wing pylons as well. This one also received the new paint scheme and made carpet bombing famous during Desert Storm.

B-52H_03: The current version with upgraded ECM, plus the ability to carry the LITENING pod, all sorts of guided weapons from JDAM's, to LGB's, to JSOW's. Also with the Combat Track II moving map display in the cockpit.

Thank you each and everyone of you guys for your help and guidance.

This started out as a project 3 years ago and finally got around to getting it done. This mod has all 70 aircraft with real tail codes of the Liberty Wing. For the fun factor each squadron has all 70 decals assigned so you don't ever run out. The swapped fighters between squadrons so much they could all of been in each one at one time or another. Who knows.

This will create a whole new aircraft depicting the F-4D the Liberty Wing flew from late 1971 to 1977. So if you want to use it in a campaign those are the years you will be able to fly it before you have to use the F-111F. This comes with a custom strike loadout.

    23. Swiss Mirage III Pack

      Swiss Mirage III Pack

Install - Need Update July 2012, DLC Mirage IIIO

In 1961, Switzerland bought a single Mirage IIIC from France. This Mirage IIIC was used as development aircraft. The Swiss Mirages were built in Switzerland by F+W Emmen (today RUAG ) (the federal government aircraft factory in Emmen) as the Mirage IIIS. Australia too, bought, one French-made in preparation for licensed production. Cost overruns during the Swiss production led to the so-called "Mirage affair". In all, 36 Mirage IIIS interceptors were built with strengthened wings, airframe, and undercarriage. The Swiss Air Force required performance comparable to those of carrier based planes; the airframes were reinforced so the aircraft could be moved by lifting them over other aircraft with a crane, as in the Aircraft cavern in the mountains that Swiss Air Force uses as bunkers, offer very little space to maneuver parked aircraft. Also, the strengthened frames allowed for JATO assisted takeoffs. The main differences to the standard Mirage III were as follows:
New wiring of avionics with U.S. electronics
Changed cockpit design with gray instead of black panels
New U.S. radar, TARAN-18 from Hughes
Use of HM-55S "Falcon" (Swiss designation of the from SAAB in Licence built Robot 27 (Rb27) which is similar to the Hughes AIM-26 "Falcon")
Radar warning receiver (RWR) on both wingtips and on the back of the rudder
Strengthened structure for use of JATO-Rockets
Retractable nosecone and lengthened nosewhlle leg for storing in underground air base
Four lifting points for moving aircraft in underground caverns with a crane
Bay at the fin with a SEPR rocket engine to double the velocity for short time or climb to 20 000 m (60 000 ft)
US TRACOR AN/ALE-40 chaff/flare dispenser at the back under the end of the engine (fitted with the upgrade 1988)
Canards designed and produced by RUAG Aerospace(fitted with the upgrade 1988)
New Martin-Baker ejection-seat (fitted with the upgrade 1988)
The Swiss Mirages are equipped with RWS, chaff & flare dispensers. Avionics differed as well, with the most prominent difference being that the Thomson-CSF Cyrano II radar was replaced by Hughes TARAN-18 system, giving the Mirage IIIS compatibility with the Hughes AIM-4 Falcon AAM. Also the Mirage IIIS had the wiring to carry a Swiss-built nuclear bomb or French nuclear bomb. The Swiss nuclear bomb was stopped in the preproduction stage and Switzerland did not purchase the French-made bomb. The Mirage IIIS had an integral fuel tank under the aft belly; this fuel tank could be removed and replaced with an adapter of the same shape. This adapter housed a SEPR rocket engine with its liquid fuel tanks. With the SEPR rocket, the Mirage IIIS easily reached altitudes of 20,000 m. The rocket fuel was very hazardous and highly toxic, so the SEPR rocket was not used very often. The Mirage IIIRS could also carry a photo-reconnaissance centerline pod and an integral fuel tank under the aft belly; this carried a smaller fuel load but allowed a back looking film camera to be added. In the early 1990s, the 30 surviving Swiss Mirage IIIS interceptors were put through an upgrade program, which included fitting them with fixed canards and updated avionics. The Mirage IIIS were phased out of service in 1999. The remaining Mirage IIIRS, BS and DS were taken out of

    25. F-103E and F-103D - Mirage III Brazilian Air Force PACK

F-103 Mirage III Brazilian Air Force

Install - Need Update July 2012, DLC Mirage IIIO (DLC Mirage IIIEL optional cockpit)

      History
The history of the Mirage III in Brazil goes back to the sixties, when the FAB elaborated a modernization program and the creation of an air space control system. In 1967 the implementation started of the SISDACTA- Sistema Integrado de Defesa Aérea e Controle de Tráfego Aéreo (Integrated Air Traffic Control and Air Defence System) and of the COMDA-Comando de Defesa Aérea (Air Defence Command).

As part of the program, it was necessary to acquire a supersonic aircraft to execute the air defence and interception missions. The FAB's initial desire was to obtain the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II, however it could not be materialised because of American restrictions on the sale of advanced military equipment to South American countries.

With the Phantom out of the game, the remaining option was to look for an European fighter. Among the contenders were the British English Electric Lightning, the Swedish Saab Draken and the French Dassault-Breguet Mirage IIIE. About the same time, the Mirage IIIC, in the hands of the Israeli pilots, inflicted heavy losses to its Arabic neighbours in the 'Six Day War'. There is no doubt that the Mirage III's excellent performance, achieved by the Israelis in that war, helped Dassault-Breguet secure many clients around the world, including Brazil.

      Operational Career
On April 11, 1979, the 1º GDA ( Primeiro Grupo de Defesa Aérea – First Air Defence Group) was officially established. On April 19, 1979, the 1º ALADA was disbanded and the 1º GDA took over its functions and F-103 aircraft. The 1º GDA remained stationed at Anápolis AB.

During its operational career in Brazil, the Mirage III fleet suffered some attrition and many additional airframes were bought to replace the lost ones and to keep up the 1º GDA's combat readiness. In total, Brazil acquired 16 additional aircraft from Armée de L’Air surplus. These consisted of four F-103E in 1980, two F-103D in 1984, two F-103E in 1988, two F-103D and two F-103E in 1989, two F-103E in 1998 and the last two F-103D in 1999.

The F-103 Mirage IIIEBR represented a tremendous leap to the Brazilian Air Force, being over thirty years of service and more than 65,000 flying hours.
The versions of Mirage III acquired by FAB were developed primarily for air defense missions, but keep some capacity to act as platforms for ground attack.
The engine was a SNECMA ATAR 09C, whose maximum thrust with afterburning reached 13,900 pounds (6305 kg), leading the aircraft a maximum speed of Mach 2.2 (2,350 km / h).
The fire control system was based on radar Thomson-CSF Cyrano II, which originally operated the integrated air-to-air missile infrared Matra R530, later replaced by Israeli missile Python III.
As arms fixed, the aircraft was equipped with two 30 mm DEFA. For navigation, the Mirage III FAB type Doppler systems used. In the early '90s, the FAB joined the Squadron's missions Jaguar air-ground attack, starting to use free-fall bombs and rocket launchers.
