I still am having same issue yet in SUEZ 2, and just yesterday on my re-installed Israel 2. Try fiddle with the terrain_data.ini, and adjust the HEIGHT. Wrench said to me to change the original 10000.000 (?) to 2000.000 level when we find sub-terrains with WATER (in 1 or 2 in it).

Also, check the dot CAT u used. Normally, the GermanyCE is used, even for Suez 2, and IsraelME also Israel 2! Strange, yes?

In my case, the Suez 2 still has the issue of NOT exploding on the Runways, but ALL US side and Israeli planes/choppers, as well as their GroundObjects are sunken! Strange, the Arab/Iran sides are in normal terrains. I used, as Wrench advised, the Polak's Desert (latest mod).
