KonsyCOMINGatYOU Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I need some help configuring my controls. I am currently using my mouse for pitch and roll (Mouse Joystick mode), which means I can no longer use it to look around the cockpit. I tried mapping the camera pitch and yaw controls to the left and right arrow keys, but that didn't work. This is a major issue because, in the F-4E Phantom, the missile selection panel is located in the bottom-left corner of the cockpit, and I can't see it. Ideally, I want to keep using my mouse as a joystick while using a different input honestly, anything else to look around the cockpit. Does anyone have a fix for this?
Goob113870 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) there is a way its called buy a cheap joystick like logitech extreme 3d flight stick and use your mouse for panning around cockpit or outside Edited 7 hours ago by Goob113870 1
Wizard43 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Have you tried the keys of the numeric key pad? Numpad 8 = "Display a forward view of the dashboard, looking down at the instruments." according to the view commands in the SF2 manual. Wizard
daddyairplanes Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago i will say mouse as joystick is an odd choice. most that want to do flight sims will at get the cheap joystick. or at minimum use the arrow keys and the mouse to pan the camera around. i do the second fairly often, as a lot of my flying is to see how stuff im working on looks in game. but i have the logitech stick for when im actually just flying a mission in a non test instal. but to each their own.........
Flanker562 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Yeah once I got a good head tracker I gave up on using keyboard commands to look around and such. The one I use works with SF2, so I got my stick and good to go with the head tracker as well. I just find that a crutch if you don't find the good stuff to take the place of that.
