Copy the two fueltank .bmp's to your weapons folder. This assumes you have the weapons pack installed. HISTORY (From wikipedia.org) Development The Intruder was developed in response to a U.S. Navy specification for an all-weather carrier-based attack aircraft to serve as a replacement for the piston-powered, WWII-era A-1 Skyraider. Grumman was awarded the contract in 1957, and the resulting A2F-1 made its first flight on 19 April 1960. It was redesignated A-6A in the fall of 1962, and entered squadron service in February 1963. The A-6 became the USN and USMC's principal medium attack aircraft from the mid-1960s through the 1990s. It served in combat in Vietnam and in later engagements in Lebanon and Libya. The Intruder saw further duty in the 1991 Gulf War, but it was phased out of service quickly in the mid-1990s. It was intended for replacement by the A-12 Avenger II, but following that troubled stealth aircraft's cancellation, the Intruder was left to soldier on for a few more years before retiring in favor of the F/A-18 Hornet. The last Intruders were retired 19 December 1996. Some aircraft were used to form artificial reefs, but the majority are stored at AMARC against possible future need. Although the Intruder could not match the F/A-18's speed or air-combat capability, the A-6's range and load-carrying ability are sorely missed. A-6E models totaled 445 aircraft, about 240 of which were converted from earlier A-6A/B/C models. You can get it by clicking this link here! Thank you JSF Aggie! Quote
+drdoyo Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 (edited) Thanks guys!! Outstanding work. Downloading it now and looking forward to seeing it in action . Question, does this overwrite the v1.0 A-6E? If so, I guess it'll be back to square 2 or 3 for my "no 2" project . Thanks! Edited March 11, 2007 by drdoyo Quote

+Typhoid Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 a really great addition and update. Very nice. A couple of comments, after running it through I added Anti-ship as a selectable mission and added the cruise missile capability with Harpoons onto the weapons stations. Works very nice. I've built a carrier anti-ship strike against missile ships mission which you may enjoy. In CVW-5, our A-6E TRAM birds were also wired to carry and shoot the Standard ARM so you may want to also consider adding that, although that was only a few birds and not the entire A-6E TRAM fleet. +allenjb42 Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 The SWIP (Systems Weapons Improvements Programme) upgrade allowed the A-6E to carry AGM-65E & F Maverick, AGM-84A Harpoon, AGM-84E SLAM and AGM-88 HARM. Previously Intruders could carry AGM-45 Shrike for defence suppression. Will we get those on v1.2? Alternately, you could release a seperate aircraft with these capabilities - A-6E SWIP - which started being delivered to squadrons in 1990/91. Quote

If someone wants to do the INI's based on 1.1 and send them to me I will update it. Then I will rename to 1.2 and re-upload it. Quote
