grumpapotamus Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 I have just got SFGold and am wondering the best way to approach installation. Is is best to transfer .cat files and terrains or install, then reinstall WOV and WOE onto SFGold? Right now I have WOV/WOE combined. Any help is appreciated! Quote
Aintry Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Offhand, I'd say keep your WOV/WOE install, and transfer files from SFGold into that. I run SF:P1 inside WOE, planes, terrains, and all. Quote
TurtleHawk Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Is there a tutorial for doing a SFP1/WOV/WOE combined install? Can You then add, NATO I/II? Can you add Bunyap's Weapons Pack? Hope this isn't hijacking the thread. Please let me know if it is. Thank you. Quote
+Dave Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 No there isn't a tutorial, but just copy what Tristan said, the planes, the terrain and the campaigns and you should be good to go. I did it to fly the original campaigns in WOE and it worked great. NATO Fighters is for a totally unmodded version of WOE, adding anything like the weps back and it will cause you major issues. Quote
TurtleHawk Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Thanks for the reply. I'm wondering what are the advantages or enhancements of combining the three? I'm not sure what you mean by fly the original campaigns in WOE??? Quote
Redddevil911 Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 (edited) Last night I added SFP1 (I know it's not Gold) to WOE, I copied the terrain and campaign, did a quick test flight and all worked well. The campaign was fine and so was single mission using add-on A/C not included in the stock SFP1. I will add I fully patched SFP1 before I copied the files! I have NATO I & II and NATO envro installed, the latest weapons packs! In short i have all that and it works great! Edited April 21, 2007 by Redddevil911 Quote
Aintry Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 (edited) 1.) NATO Fighters I & II: I've downloaded both but only installed some of the files from each of them, i.e., without the installers. 2.) Bunyap's Weapons Pack: it'll work with a combined install provided you make the prescribed modifications to airplane data and loadout files. Edited April 21, 2007 by Tristan Quote

I'm not sure what you mean by fly the original campaigns in WOE??? If you have a HD space issues then this would help. I just did it to see if I could. By the orginals campaigns I mean Burning Sands etc that came with SF. Quote
TurtleHawk Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Thanks everybody. It's amazing what you can do with these three sims, and the add-ons! Quote
