Stratos Posted June 5, 2007 Author Posted June 5, 2007 OOOOOPSSSS!!! What carrier?? I need to extract it from WOV?? Quote
marvinblue Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 OOOOOPSSSS!!! What carrier?? I need to extract it from WOV?? Hi there! WoE has a folder in groundoblects named CVA-63. That probably has all the files you need to get an aircraft carrier up and running. Quote
kukulino Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 (edited) OOOOOPSSSS!!! What carrier?? I need to extract it from WOV?? CVA-64 is Kitty Hawk class (CVA-63). I have WOE/WOV Vietnam era installation, and there are Kitty Hawk (CVA-63) class files in the ObjectData.CAT So they must be placed in WOV ObjectData.CAT too. Well, you can extract them, if you need it Edited June 5, 2007 by kukulino Quote
+Gocad Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 I have it installed in SFP1 arghhh You could also d/l a 3rd-party Carrier and alter the campaign files to use that one instead. Does WOE (without a merged WOV install) also have the texture files for the CVA63. I mean, the WOV object.dat also contains the Tu-22, but not the textures, so it can't be used. Thus having the matching textures files is also important. Quote
Stratos Posted June 5, 2007 Author Posted June 5, 2007 And how Can I change the carrier in campaign?? Quote
+Gocad Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 (edited) And how Can I change the carrier in campaign?? This is the entry for placing a carrier in a WOV campaign: [CarrierUnit001] CarrierType=CVA-63 <---- this is the name of the object folder, change it to the name of the folder of the 3rd party carrier CarrierNumber=64 UnitName=CVA-64 Constellation ForceID=1 Nation=USN BaseArea=Yankee Station NumSquadron=5 BaseSize=MEDIUM (!) Experience=100 Morale=100 Supply=100 Link: This Carrier could be a suitable replacement - CV59 by capun If you're using this one, just replace 'CVA-63' with 'CV59'. Edited June 5, 2007 by Gocad Quote
kukulino Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 (edited) If you haven't got WOE or WOV, we can't help you with CVA-63 class. I do not found it here at CA, and i tried it at Avsim, but nothing. The same at SkunkWorks Well, we have it modelled in WOE/WOV That is good idea to change Kitty Hawk class by 3rd party Carrier (there is no other easy way, if you haven't got WOE/WOV, I think). Hmm, I wrote this few lines, and here are three other posts Oh, my great english Edited June 5, 2007 by kukulino Quote
Stratos Posted June 5, 2007 Author Posted June 5, 2007 I have both games, will try to extract it Thank's for all the help and what files I need to extract?? Quote

They are NOT is the SF cat - just looked. Wasn't there a thread a C5's giving a listing of all the needed 'parts' to assemble/transfer the carriers over? You'll need WoV or WoE to get the Connie and her sisters. Wrench kevin stein edit: if you have both games (I'm assuming WoV & WoE), why would you need to extract it? It should already exist in your GroundObjects folder!! Quote
