+geo Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 FWIW, I uploaded the new target ground objects I'd been working on (assorted real-life things helped delay the completion). Available on my site on the Ground Objects page. Also, some pics of non-target ground objects that terrain builders could use. If interested, PM me. Allied and German infantry . French 75 and German 77 . Vickers and MG08 . Allied and German supply wagon . For Terrain builders, a non-target ambulance and battlefield debris http://www.geos-aircraft.com/ Quote
Guest Charles Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 (edited) They look great, thanks Geo. The animated moose is good - not sure how many moose they had in France and Flanders, though. Edited July 30, 2007 by Charles Quote
+NeverEnough Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 These will make great additions to the sim. Thanks for all your continued efforts, Geo. Quote

Guest Charles Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 BTW, Geo, what is the functional purpose in the sim of objects with GroundObjectRole=ARTILLERY? They can obviously be placed in scripted single missions *.MSN files, and presumably will fire at one another, but do they show up as random targets in CAS missions (like GroundObjectRole=TANK objects) or in Armed Recon missions (like GroundObjectRole=Transport objects)? +geo Posted July 31, 2007 Author Posted July 31, 2007 Charles, I'm not sure how that type is handled vs. others - Capun may know Quote
Guest capun Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 I don't think that is implemented in the game, but then I haven't tried it either. If all fails ask the only person who knows for sure: TK :) Quote
tn_prvteye Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 I keep getting an error when I try to open the zip. I've used both WinZip and WinRAR to open it. Pics look great...can't wait to try it! Quote
+geo Posted August 1, 2007 Author Posted August 1, 2007 I keep getting an error when I try to open the zip. I've used both WinZip and WinRAR to open it. Pics look great...can't wait to try it! Try it now - it was opening fine with Winzip on my home machine, but I tried it on another machine and had the problem you describe. I re-Zipped it using 7-Zip, so it may work for you now. Quote
tn_prvteye Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Hmmm...still having a problem. I d/led 7zip just for this, but still no go. Very odd. Quote
tn_prvteye Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 DING! DING! DING! That's it! Thank you so much! Quote
Guest Saganuay82 Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 I remember when Moonjumper was working on a rocket launcher, Katyusha?, he said the game doesn't do ballistic firings. Perhaps you could have artillery but instead of a gun it uses an invisible rocket? All you would need to see is the gunfire and hit effect on the rxing end. Quote
