tmdgm Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Is there a way to edit the single mission generator, particularly the planes you fly against? Quote
Wrench Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Only by physically removing aircraft, or editing their service years; ie: export dates. It's not uncommon to see aircraft long retired, say a Frexco going against your Talon in 2012 (just before the asteroid hits) Hence the need for accurate date in the aircraft's data ini, which for 99.9% of them are correct. I've always wondered if you could add this line: EndExportYear= and see if it works. I know in First Eagles, TK is using the month/day/year format for aicraft service dates. Wrench kevin stein Quote

tmdgm Posted August 11, 2007 Author Posted August 11, 2007  I suppose I could use that mod enabler Jonesoft or something to enable/disable aircraft. Wonder if that would work. The other option is to edit campaigns, but my middle east campaigns CTD and I'm too lazy right now to figure it out. How does the game pick who you fly against in single missions? Just random? Quote
MigBuster Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Yes its random - To remove airplanes you dont want in single missions - either cut and paste them from objects\aircraft into another folder - or just change the service /export dates in their data.ini files to a date (say 2150) Quote
Wrench Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I didn't know you could open a dll in a hex editor...messing with core files like that scares the S**t outta me! Just in case I 'break' something. The pic isnt too clear (or it's my eyes), what exactly is highlighted? EndExportYear? If so, it's already built in, and just needs adding to the aircraft data inis...hmmm.... Wrench kevin stein Quote
Guest Saganuay82 Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Best way other than moving planes to get rid of them is to change the folder name. Mig291 for example doesn't match the MiG29.ini so the plane won't show up. There was a utility that I have and can't remember the name of it. What it does is makes Hangars. You move all of your IDF and Arab aircraft into your IDF Hangar and all of your USN SEA and NVAF MiGs into the SEA Hangar for example. As you want to play that era you move the planes in and out. Same as copy and paste but you keep them more organized. Remember though you would have to have a separate Mig21 Arab installed from a MiG21 NVAF, It doesn't see skins, just whole planes. Quote
