Russian cockpits for 50's/60's planes?

Recommended Posts

AV-8C cockpit. That's one of my faves. No radar. I always wondered if it would be a good fit for earlier aircraft.

Kukulino, you just might be on to something here...

Are you sure? :umnik2:

THANX Wrench, it looks nice. I tried it too (without HUD changes), and it works. I need read PFU read me again, because I had problem with lock on target, hehe (on hard settings there is no red and yellow square).

To Lexx: your mods look better and better, day after day

Harriers pit is hulpfull too. We are waiting for new Mig-15/17 (or 17/15) pit from Palladrian. I can't wait! :shout:

Welcome. Very interesting discussion you guys have here :good:

Wrench -you got pretty fine results with the Etendard pit. I did a quick rude repaint to see if it feels ok as a replacement:

As for early 60's I think WoE Hunter's office is good choice IMO PLUS we have Lexx's movement wonders.

Anyway, some interesting results may occure here...

Anyone carried this any further???

Haven't had time to experiment with the Harrier pit fof the Migs...which calls the question for those withOUT WoE...possibly using the pits found in some of the aftermarket Harriers....must investigate this in my spare time...

AV8 cockpit, I believe by Harrier Team. Its pretty nice and simple. However, if it has the complex relative motion airspeed guage, that could be a problem, and is why I gave up trying to use F-104 cockpit. Overall, the DogSabreTeam's F-86D cockpit works best for me -- and it has a radar for the interceptors which TK would never model unless he gets into stargetic air warfare, LeMay style, Wings Over Siberia or somewhere.

Last night I was browsing Column5's newly updated selection of aircraft (Nice site update, Column5!) and noticed Foxmonter's Pulqui model. Since Foxmonter has done a number of nice cockpits for his models, I downloaded the Pulqui and installed the cockpit into a LA-15. Very Nice.... The Pulqui cockpit might qualify as the nicest MiG-15 cockpit we have available. I added Wrench's WW2 Soviet gunsight and sized it to 100 in the cockpit.ini. This is a great combination for the LA-15 and MiG-15. I did a side-by-side with the MiG-15 with the WOE Hunter cockpit, and I think the Pulqui cockpit does a much better job for the early Soviet jets. The MiG-15 was supposed to have a really spartan office suite, and the Pulqui certainly fills the bill. The Pulgui also has animated stick, throttle and rudder pedals! Thanks Foxmonter for another really professional model!

Give it a shot, I think you will like it.

Oh, this pit looks really good :good: Good typ for Mig-15

CA_Stary, your repaint looks still good too :haha:

Wrench uploaded Mig-19S Hi-res skins (and improved Mig17PF model too - with Hi-res skin too), Fubar is working on new FM. What about new repaint for "Mig-19P/PM pit"?

I found this picture somewhere on net. There is adress, down.

Mig-19PM

mig19pmpit.jpg

Take a look on radar scope, please. It is similar to Mig-21MF (paladrians version), I think.

What do you think, pilots?

OMGORZ!

You found a Farmer cockpit???

Earlier MiGs are harder to find....(I mean,MiG-15 and 19,because the 17 is in BFVietnam and MiG-9 is at IL2-1946.)

For american aircraft,I know a great site.

For Su-7 pit info look here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=24668

It is Boopidoos Su-15TM cockpit adaptation (adaptation by Boopidoo). You will see it soon

Waiting for Boopidoo's reworked Su-7 pit, what about such movement work:

similar to kukulino's Su-7 from page 1, but with rotated and moved gunsight and radar box, added leading sight from Mig-21 for my own enjoyment

I use it for MiG-19S (Farmer-C), it's twin-engine, fits well IMHO

For RP-5 Izumrud MiG-19P, I think I could move the radar to the right above G-meter

What do you think?

I know reworked Su-7 pit by boopidoo will have new hud glass and camera, aswell as mounting, but this is for two-engined MiG-19s

Another GREAT contribution by CA_Stary! Excellent adaptation of Boopidoo's Su-15TM cockpit. Thanks for the moves.

I'm fighting with the radarbox moves (for MiG-19P) but it seems, that for given part (node, exactly) only one specific movement can be done- one position, and one rotation. It's bad, because this GREAT GREAT Boopidoo's pit could serve another role

-for Lightning F6

will have to speak with Lexx about this

And could someone answer me this:

Are we 100% sure that we can't merge two cockpits together?

I'm just beginning to learn about cockpits system in this sims
