Guest CW2. Wells Posted November 24, 2007 These sorts of things happen all the time. In this case the crew got caught. Most of the time it is a pilot showboating. Landing on a little shack or on the roof of something he shouldn't be, all for a photo op. In this case and hour long is too long. When our pilots land it is for a quick photo or two and we are back in the air before anyone really notices. Pants, hows life in the AZO? Snowed yet? I need to take a trip up there sometime and visit the Airzoo, it has been awhile since I have been up that way.
Rambler 1-1 9 Posted November 28, 2007 the Air Force up here used to let pilots take the CF-18s out cross-country if they were flying back to their home town or something, then there was a couple of goofs who flew in echelon formation with a landing 737. I can't remember what happened, I think the pilot freaked to ATC, and ever since then the military hasn't let the pilots use the '18s for personal flights. Awwww maaaannnnn..... TurtleHawk 6 Posted November 28, 2007 Too, funny. "On the way home, could you grab milk, eggs, and a pound of mushrooms?" If they were psilocybin mushrooms, making a quick stop would be completely understandable.
