I tried to have a standart AIM-9L loadout for the TA-4J I compared the loadout.ini and Data.ini with some planes, A-4K and others. Just to look whats wrong, cause the weapons don`t show of when I load this bird as CAP, the wings are empty and I have to load it manual. Wrench Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Well...lets see.... First off, it's an ATTACK aircraft, not a fighter, so having an A-A loadout is sort of superflous (sp?). It shouldn't have any of the fighter mission statements (CAP, SWEEP, INTERCEPT, ESCORT) defined in the data ini. Guess I"ll have to download it (which I've forgotten to do in any case), and do a little hand holding to see what you all are talking about btw: you DO notice you're standard A-A load is missing the pointers for the winders, right???? +Florian Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Fueltanks not showing up is a simple thing. Look at the weapon station entrys for left and right wing. You´ll find "FuelTankName=Tank370_F4" and in the loadout file you want to mount Tank300_A4 on it. Both have to match. I believe, most of the time, the game engine chooses in that case the droptank defined in the data.ini, but here i guess, they don´t show up, because like Wrench said, it´s an attack aircraft and not using the A-A loadout. But i would need to d/l it also and check back, like Wrench. Quote

First off, lets fix the fuel tank weapons data itself... The TA-4 are NOT the same as Kahu, and therefore not used the same (unless, as Typhoid said, in DACT) Also, the use of ATTACK means the aircraft will use a different formation type, say, from those set as FIGHTER. And there you have it...it took me less than 10 minutes (not counting d/l time) to fix it. Note to Fracture -- I dig the cockpit mod! That's cleaver!!! In reality, yes, but since the game engine isn´t told, it doesn´t know that. Of course, if you give it the possibility to conduct A-A duty, the A-A loadout will work.
