WOI

I downloaded this today and I'm getting a CTD when I choose campaign or single mission. Also there is nothing where I can set my screen resolution. See screenshot:

Well, that is odd.

I am thinking they are related.

Check out your options.ini for th following area;

[GraphicsOptions]

DisplayDeviceID=0

DisplayWidth=1024

DisplayHeight=768

DisplayDepth=32

AspectRatio=1.333333

LensFlare=0

DetailLevel=1

ObjectDetail=1

ObjectTexture=1

CockpitTexture=1

CockpitMirrors=0

CockpitReflection=0

EffectsDetail=1

TerrainDetail=1

TerrainTexture=1

HorizonDistance=1

GroundObjectDensity=1

WaterDetail=1

CloudsDetail=0

Shadow=0

AntiAliasing=0

These are the entries for my flyable laptop install here at work. Nothing fancy, so a compare should help.

Especially if the Width= and Height= lines are blank.

Try updating your DX9...I had crashes at first too, until I got the latest version . Mine was something about "d3dx9_31.dll".

Got the DX from M$, and all's been fine.

Uninstalled, reinstalled, changed drivers, still no joy.

@Spectre: I changed my .ini, no help.

@Wrench: Thanks, DX9 was all up to date

@alex70b Thanks for the suggestion.

I would ask TK in his tech support forum then. This is really odd.

Yep, is the only title in this series I have had trouble with. Posted in the tech forum @ Thirdwire.

Have changed drivers twice already, still the same. If no resolution by this afternoon, will get my money back.

No need to keep screwing with something if it aint workin right on my system to start. All that does is give me the F4 syndrome. :dntknw:

Well this:

DisplayWidth=1

DisplayHeight=8

DisplayDepth=104746847

was definitely wrong. The game can't run with that. No idea why it gave that or has subsequently STOPPED giving that. :grin:
