I'm a little new to the whole adding aircraft and weapons thing to WOI. I've figured part of this out, however I can't seem to get the weapons part figured out to save my life. I have looked and looked for a tutorial on how to operate the weapons editor, but I can't seem to find one.

I'll admit I'm not that good at the whole editing thing in general. (I was thrilled when I got some aircraft to work!) I would GREATLY appreciate it if someone pointed me towards a step-by-step tutorial on how to operate the weapons editor and get those weapons on there.

I remember seeing something about a weapons.ini file (supposedly in WOI???) Can't seem to find it.

(I.E. I loaded the F-14, no loadouts for the AIM-54 Phoenix) I do have the option of loading AIM-120's... Anyways...any help would be appreciated many times over.

Hello. When I click "open" in the weapon editor, the editor closes. I was wondering if anyone can help me with this. I have changed the compatibility mode to 98/me. I am using this editor on the SF 08 patch. From what I understand, this is the right editor for that patch.

Also, if I just want to add just one weapon, do I have to keep using the editor? I noticed that when I do add to the .ini list, the .dat file does not change. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks =)

I imagine that when, or maybe if, a patch comes out to bring WoE up to WoI standards, it will only work in WoI for now.

:clapping:I could not agree moer with you on this. The WeapEditor MUST be standardized for ALL W** series, since it is made by the same TW. It will make every player happy.

Just info about mine in my WOI (Boy! From just the first new install -- I used my CD bought by a friend in Singapore, also the WOE and WOV -- of LESS than 3Gigs, now mine grows to -- God Forbids! -- nearly SIX Gis!); the NEW WeapEditor CHANGE NOTHING in my WEAPONDATA.DAT in the same folder.

What is wrong? I am mystified. The one in WOE works fine with the latest Patch or Update from TW.

Lastly, lucky me; I always SAVED the really good Weapondata.dat in a seperate folder plus in a usb. Play safe man. That's me.

Thank you all.

IS THERE a different editor that would let me autosort all the bombs together, all tanks, all missiles etc? can an INI be exported to Excel and sorted then reimported?
