MigBuster 2,884 Posted March 5, 2008 Well I would buy more F-22s - that plane is the USAs main fighting edge. Its alright saying get loads of F-35s but a lot of countries around the world will have that soon. They need a new marketing slogan - how about the "Super Raptor"
+Major Lee 18 Posted March 5, 2008 I recall seeing an article that mentioned that the USAF was going to refit the B-52 with high-bypass engines and fly them until 2040... Any current news on that?
JediMaster 451 Posted March 7, 2008 They've been talking about B-52 reengining for literally decades now. However, the C-5 fleet's need was higher so they're doing that first. Yet the price is now $12bn on the LOW side of the estimates, and some are predicting it may run $18bn. To put 4 new engines on 100 planes! Ok, I think they're doing some cockpit renovations too, but still.
Miya_Sama 0 Posted March 8, 2008 Sounds like typical Boeing math
