CAG Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 I have downloaded an F105G aircraft add-on and can play that single mission with no problem. I have tried (but been unsuccessful) to reference this aircraft for the Wild Weasel campaigns (17th WWS for example) in the LBI and LBII campaigns in WOV. Is there an easy way to do this?... I thought I had it but obviously still missing something because I still get the F105D in that campaign. I really want the G model so as to be more historically accurate and to get ECM. If someone can help me here, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! Quote
eraser_tr Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Open the campaign data.ini and change the D to a G for the unit you want to fly. Start a new campaign for it to take effect. Quote
+MigBuster Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 You may also want to change some of the default weps - and the skin name if its different: eg AircraftType=F-105G <-----change Squadron=17WWS ForceID=1 Nation=USAF DefaultTexture=17 <----- change BaseArea=Korat RTAFB BaseMoveChance=0 RandomChance=100 MaxAircraft=16 StartAircraft=16 MaxPilots=16 StartPilots=16 Experience=100 Morale=100 Supply=50 MissionChance[sWEEP]=0 MissionChance[CAP]=0 MissionChance[iNTERCEPT]=0 MissionChance[ESCORT]=0 MissionChance=10 MissionChance[CAS]=0 MissionChance[sEAD]=100 MissionChance[ARMED_RECON]=40 MissionChance[ANTI_SHIP]=0 MissionChance[RECON]=0 UpgradeType=NEVER Supply[001].WeaponType=Mk81 Supply[001].Quantity=2880 Supply[002].WeaponType=Mk82 Supply[002].Quantity=1440 Supply[003].WeaponType=Mk84 Supply[003].Quantity=240 Supply[004].WeaponType=LAU-3A Supply[004].Quantity=480 Supply[005].WeaponType=Mk82SE Supply[005].Quantity=240 Supply[006].WeaponType=Rockeye Supply[006].Quantity=360 Supply[007].WeaponType=BLU-1 Supply[007].Quantity=240 Supply[008].WeaponType=AGM-45B Supply[008].Quantity=640 Supply[009].WeaponType=AGM-78A Supply[009].Quantity=240 Supply[010].WeaponType=CBU-24B Supply[010].Quantity=480 Supply[011].WeaponType=Tank450_F105 Supply[011].Quantity=480 Supply[012].WeaponType=Tank650_F105 Supply[012].Quantity=240 you will need to extract the campaigns data.ini file using the cat extractor Quote
CAG Posted April 16, 2008 Author Posted April 16, 2008 Thank you for your replies: I have tried extracted the campaign file and did try changing the D to G. I then started a new campaign but didn't get a different result (still an F105D). Admittedly I am new to this... so maybe I am overlooking something quite obvious. Other than edit and save the .ini file do I need to do anything else with it... can I just leave the files in the extracted state? Thanks again for your help! Quote
+JSF_Aggie Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 ... can I just leave the files in the extracted state? Yes, but you do have to move it into the campaign folder. If that's not your problem, I can look at your files tonight if you like. Quote
eraser_tr Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 make sure the name in the campaign_data.ini matches exactly the name of the aircraft's main ini file. Also, make sure it's not simply an upgrade later on and simply haven't gotten the G yet (And that the start date of the campaign and squadron are within the service daterange of the aircraft (in the aircraft_data.ini) Quote
