I can't select 6 Brimstones or Mav's from the loadout screen. They are listed, but have a "0" instead of a "6" listed.

I've checked the weaponsdata, and a/c data, all seems okay. I re-installed the a/c. I can select 6 Mav's/Hellfires/brimstones for ALL other a/c capable of carrying them. So the problem is specific to the Hornet.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks for the help.

Add LGR to the pylon in the F18A_Data.ini file. You have to have the specific weapon type as single on the pylon to enable it to carry multiple missiles. Had that issue with my dual rail AMRAAM pylons, as it would show up the same, but after adding the single "AHM" it worked as it should.

Thanks for the reply. Gave that a try, no joy.

Very vexing. Seems to be specific to my install of the F-18A in WOI.

I'm going to try delete the folder, and copying over a working version from another install.

Strange...

TurtleHawk,

I would like to help. Could you tell me if you have installed any weapon pack to your WoI installation?

In my case, I have not. I am using the stock weapon store.

I have had your problem with AGM-65A. It shows some quantity in the store but it show "0 AGM-65A" in th epull-down menu of the weapon pylon. I made a change to the weapon.ini file as follows:

AGM-65Aavailability.jpg

After making the change, I can now select 2xAGM65A from the menu. Revert if you still have problems with it.

Thanks, Basher11,

That's one of the first things I looked at, dates, export, supply. I also checked the dates for the racks.

Also, if it was off in the data.ini, wouldn't it effect ALL a/c? I think, anyway.

I'm also getting this problem with the Gripen, the AGM/Hellfire/Brimstones have "0" where there should be a "6".

I deleted the F-18 folder, reinstalled, and the problem is still there.

Too weird.

Thanks Basher11 for hanging in there on this one.

I've set the availability also.

Using your screen capture, if you go down one weapon station, you should be able to load 6 Mavericks, the drop-down list will read:

*

*

2 AGM-65A Maverick

6 AGM-65A Maverick

2 AGM-65B Maverick

6 AGM-65B Maverick

The drop-down on my install has a 0 instead of a 6.

I've had weapons not show up at all, but never anything like this.

That's the max I can get

Max_AGM_Stores.jpg

Only 4. And they look like that:

If memory serves me, there are some sort of pylons which accomodates more than 2 or 3 weapons. It's kind of a rack which must be specified int he aircraft's Data.INI file. Perhaps some other commuters can help.

You need to have 'EOGR' (electro-optically guided rocket) as an available type for the specific weapons station. You will also need to be sure the load, diameter, length, and attachment type will accomodate the weapon you are trying to load. That mostly answers turtle's question, which he already solved.

Regarding the load quantity, for AGM's, you will need to add 'TLR' (triple launch rack) as an available type for the weapon station (as well as EOGR). If you are trying to load three missiles on a station, you will need to make sure the weapon station load limit will accomodate that. If the load limit is too low for 3 missiles, you may end up with only 2, like in your pic.

Regarding the weird loadout in the pic: If you are using a default loadout from the loadout.ini, check to see which rack is specified. It may be some weird or corrupted type of TLR that has some funky attachment positions. If you are customizing that loadout before the mission starts and you are selected multiple AGM's, the game will look in the weapons.ini and find the first TLR listed and use that. So, once again, if there is some weird variant of a TLR in the weapons data and it's listed before the plain 'TLR', the game will use that one. I would make sure that the TLR that's acutally named 'TLR' (this is the plain TLR) is the first weapon of TLR type listed in the weaponsdata.ini. That way you'll get the correct rack.

I come to ascertain the root of the problem. It is not about which weapon rack or weapon pack. Assuming no add-on weapon pack, that is the same to say based on the vanilla version of WoI (i.e. no patch applied), and this version of F/A-18A, the outer wingpylons on both sides can load up to 2 AGM-65A/B and the inner wing pylon on both sides can load up to 6 AGM-65B/A.

After applying the April 2008 patch, the above configuration is no longer possible.

Sorry about the finding, but there it is.
