kct 5 Posted August 31, 2008 Regarding this file here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=4019 Which I tried to download (and the download end up getting cut halfway, which means I got an imcomplete file). When I tried to redownload again (by going into the same page and click download again, no download manager is used, and there are no other downloads at the same time), I was redirected to the page telling me that "You may not download any more files until your other downloads are complete". The question I want to ask this, is this something server related, or something at my own end?
kct 5 Posted August 31, 2008 (edited) Few hours went by, still no luck. Tried everything including flushing off the cache, restarting the PC and disconnecting the Internet and so on. Now I can't download anything...this is depressing. Edited August 31, 2008 by kct
MigBuster 2,884 Posted August 31, 2008 Not much help but - Works fine for me - just downloaded it via Firefox
kct 5 Posted August 31, 2008 (edited) No luck with IE either (I usually use Firefox). Maybe the server thought that I am still downloading the file (when I am clearly not). Problem is, now I can't download anything at all. Edited August 31, 2008 by kct
+Erik 1,812 Posted August 31, 2008 The error message you're receiving is generic as the system can't tell the difference between failed attempts to download and successful downloads. Basically once you start a download it is applied towards limits in place per the account type. I don't know specifically why you're having problems but it's symptomatic of a speed booster or download manager opening multiple connections to download the file. I've gone ahead and upgraded your account to a paid subscription for 1 day which will lift your limits. I would hope that you enjoy the service enough to consider becoming a supporting member. Have fun. Erik
kct 5 Posted August 31, 2008 (edited) I'm using the default Firefox downloader, so it could be a problem there. Hopefully this problem goes away after I returned to normal status. Thanks for the lift, I would give it a consideration. Edited August 31, 2008 by kct
