Nesher 628 Posted September 11, 2008 (edited) got back a couple of hours ago... part of the things that NCOs and Officers do.. (unlike the places in my mandatory service) i was still here cause 1 of the officers brought his mac with him so i had internet anyways, kinda long week of guard duties and patrols in that place lucky everything was quiet (relatively LOL) since we are surrounded by palestinians villages, whenever there is a wedding you hear shot fired into the air happened to me during one of my patrols... after a situation that could have led to blue on blue (me patroling and some guys doing night training) the people there were very nice so it was easier i think one of the officers from my unit that i knew came with me (the guy with mac) and the head of my department was also with us, a full colonel (he was later replaced by another officer, lt.col) thats a bit funny since they are older than the usual and colonels usually don't have these duties he volunteered to set an example so it was pretty cool of him anyways, the place is near Talmon, here is a map form google. to give you some idea about the location of the settlement ^_^ i'll upload more pictures later from my iPhone :) glad to be back full time and at home Cheers!! SayethWhaaaa 245 Posted September 12, 2008 ... whenever there is a wedding you hear shot fired into the air Wish weddings here were like that! Sadly, it's just bridezillas and flaky grooms... What's Schwarma? Looks a bit like Yiros. Take it easy dude!
