Forgive me for my trouble remembering names but one of our modders was working on an upgraded AC-130 and one of the issues if I remember correctly was the sighting system. I found this really cool video

If only a sidefacing Hud could be achieved. then this would be possible.

Right now still stuck with fixed view.

 

Acually scary to watch that little bright blobs disappear in a burst of flames and smoke.

They don't disappear, they just get smaller and go in different directions..

I was thinking about a cockpit mounted screen like the Maverick MFD with a view left.

 

That way spatial disorientation would be less severe, and it would be more aimable, with practice.

 

Not the way the real Spectre rolls, but without multi-man crews, it may do in the virtual world?

Wow, what a video. Great lead with Sammuel L. Jackson declaring the righteous intent and some great rock music to accompany wanton destruction. Did you notice all of the secondaries? Spectre crews should play that music during prefight across the intercom. It that doesn't get you pumped, you're a rock and you're not going to get any better!!!!!!
