Hi guys

I have been playing through the campaigns in WOI (i have also added the extra campaigns for the war for water, the attrition war and the Golan stalemate) and have just apparently upgraded to the nesher from the mirage 3

I don't know whether its just me but i felt it was more of a downgrade. Apart from the obvious differences in the aircraft I.E RWR and weapons capacity, i feel that the nesher isnt as good as the mirage 3 (in the game, dnt know about real life lol)

As far as i can see (ive flown 3 missions so far) it has no radar. And also i find the engine to be much weaker. especially in accelaration.

I was just wondering whether this is historically accurate or not?

Nesher was just easier to mantain and carried more fuel. Anyway, israelis didn´t get much use of Shahak´s radar

in the clear skies over the area, and R.530 was not used too wide nor too long, so they didn´t feel such downgrade.

I don´t remember that they had less power in the engine, but check in data.ini.

The missile is a great paperweight but hardly ever hits targets  And the only real use for radar screen on Mirage for me was tracking planes in clouds.

Thanks for the heads up.

will check the data.ini for the engine

I guess u guys have a good point about the radar as i dont really use it anyway. As for the r.530 missile id rather throw stones at the enemy. I have also noticed that the nesher carries more cannon ammo which is highly useful

I guess after doing 50+ missions in the mirage 3 ive grown rather attatched to it lol

The Shahak should be more manoeuvrable and smoother to fly - but a quote from an IAI test pilot (Assaf Ben-Nun) basically says operationally the extra ton of fuel in the Nesher was much more important than the small performance loss in agility.

although the radar is cr*p in the shahak I do find it useful for finding some targets it must be said.
