+LloydNB Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 (edited) Once I've posted my other Javelin skins, I thought I'd move on to the Duxford Javelin. Edited February 20, 2009 by LloydNB
+LloydNB Posted February 20, 2009 Author Posted February 20, 2009 Well its coming along nicely. Even if the nose is a pain to shape properly.
+Wrench Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 I like it! Now, all we need is a 'Rasberry Ripple' Hunter... Wrench kevin stein
Spinners Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Looking good Lloyd! I can remember seeing that Javelin in the flesh on a visit to Duxford in the early 1980's. One of the TSR.2's was there as well (before it was refurbished) and I also clearly remember seeing a very shiny Lightning F.1A too.
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 was it a testbed of for what was this scheme used?!
+LloydNB Posted February 21, 2009 Author Posted February 21, 2009 The scheme was for a testbed aircraft operated by Fighter Test Squadron at Boscombe Downs during the 1960s. There's also an interesting scheme for a another Javelin that flew experimental missions from Farnborough. Its a FAW 7 but I don't expect anyone will mind if I paint the FAW 9 like this.
