Viper6 Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 While Skiing on a beginner course, Natasha Richardson actress fell and hit her head, She has now died from the injury.
Rambler 1-1 Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 YGBSM. I heard that she fell over on the bunny hill at Mont Tremblant in Montréal and later that day was sent to a hospital. If you're that fragile, should you not be wearing a helmet? Now everybody is going ballistic about making helmets mandiatory, just because of this freak accident. This is nuts. 'course, I crash on a regular basis, so I wear a chrome dome regardless. RIP
+JediMaster Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 I don't think the term "pointless" applies enough to a death like this. It's not like she was a life-long skiier that loved it, she was just trying it for the first time in a "maybe I'll like this" sort of way. I feel for Liam and their sons.

I feel bad for her family. 45 is too young to go.
scouserlad13 Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Apparently at first she was ok after the fall and got back up and just didn't think anything of it. Then she started complaining about headaches and was sent to hospital. Its a shame, my thoughts are with her family. RIP
+JediMaster Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Head injuries can be like that. That's why the resort insisted someone stay with her for quite a long time and kept asking her to see a doctor. Could she have been saved had she gone immediately? We can't say at this point, we may never be able to. The tragedy is how preventable it was.
