Icarus999 Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 I just wanted to say thanks to CASTARY for the new Germany terrain. Fantastic job starry you really out did yourself with this one. i used to have issues with flickering trees, did not matter if it was the yap terrain or any of the tree mods from the past I would get this flickering that got worse at altitude. ive never been able to figure out what causes it and have always been frustrated; until now. no flickering whatsoever on my main rig... have yet to try it on my gaming rig with the 8800gtx768M card that seems to aggravate the flickering problems but from what I have seen so far I think the problem is solved. I'm not sure if its the new high res trees you have made or if it is something else within the terrain files that fixed it but thank you sir...you have made the game much better. Also your new citys are such a big improvement its really like a whole new map Great job Stary I also installed Jan Tuma's Alternative height map which gives rolling hills and valleys to the otherwise flat Germany CE map the combination of this with starys awesome work is just killer you guys really should give this combination a try. Jan Tuma's alternative heightmap is a fine addition, makes Europe look much better and real, but the only problem is that my large tree rows in forests float above ground sometimes, due to their size. 8800GT 512 here, no problems so far Nice to hear you like it Quote

Flew a mission in the UH-1CFrog skimming the jungle canopy, its a whole new kind of immursion whith out the flickering. All I need now is an mp.3 of Wagners flight of the valkyries . Quote
