15 missionm, 4 hours in real life not a single ennemy plane encountered.

Date is february 1916, im a british at Bertangle. Althought I can understand that airplane where not that common over the sky at that particular time. Come on , 15 missions and nothing ? I got air activity set a heavy. My radar is on and nothing. ITs a bit boring.

Hehe cosmos i was just going to come and post about how even on "light" reginal air activity im outnumbered in my "large" friendly flight size by 3-1.

 

Im flying RFC-28 out of Droglandt. Well, i was untill my wingman and i were jumped by 5 albatri over Proven.

 

Are you flying with TAC (the radar) off or on? I usually fly with it off. But if i hear those air sirens wailing i turn it on real quick (like scaning the skies) and see if there are any nearby enemy.

Yep, it seems that is nothing ou there in early 1916.It happens to me too.

I think this is caused by the OFF stable not been complete at the moment,it will probably fixed by adding new early planes in the future.

Try a campaign started in august/september 1916.There are more activity then.

My understanding has always been that Winder and Co. have pointed OFF toward historical realism.

That being said, perhaps your base and time period was in a quiet time and/or sector.

 

If you were flying during WW1 wouldn't you just want to complete your assignment and return home in one piece, and roll into the mess for a drink? I know I would.. then and whenever. :>) Enjoy the scenery or hit QC!

Cosmos, sign somewere near Arras or Albert, pick the date in September or later in 1916.

You will encounter German Halberstadts and Albatros DI and DII. You may even meet the

early Manfred von Richthofen with Jasta 2.

If you want real action, you shouldn't sign before "Bloody April" 1917; and really crowded

does it get in 1918.

You must not start at the earliest date possible. You won't survive the whole war anyway.

Cosmos. If you want some heavy air combat action i can recomend RFC-28 in early to mid october of 1917. Stationed near the front and i encounter 5+ enemy aircraft every misison. (sometimes none but sometimes jumped by 10 or more) I even had to change the friendly flight settings from normal to large flight since my 2 wingmates were just getting swallowed whole by the mass of enemy craft in that area.

 

I understand wanting to fly from the begining of the war to the end. I usually do the same in my flight sims. But like Olham says. Just start somewhere in 1917. With flying 1 or 2 missions every day the end of the war wont come fast enough for ya.

In the 1st 1/2 of 1916, practially all the German air forces on the Western Front were at Verdun. In the middle, they started moving to Flanders to face the long-anticipated Brit Somme offensive. By the latter part of 1916, when the Germans were defending at Verdun, their planes were pretty much all up near the Somme. In between these battles, there wasn't a lot going on.
