CJLivesey Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 I was wondering if anyone knows a fix for the sidewinder rails which show up on Russouk2002's superb Hawk T1A? The rails are good for IRM's but look a little strange when mounting rocket pods or bombs on the pylons. I'm hoping the rails are a separate component of the model and therefore are simply missing the correct rail name. Any help or suggestions? Thanks
MigBuster Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 they are part of the 3D model almost always - maybe pm the author
russouk2004 Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I cant recall now...will take a look at the model tomorrow
russouk2004 Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I had the IRM rail part of the pylon...PylonL...I detached it as new pylon PylonL_IRM..and linked it to main pylon....which is then linked to the wing.. .RightWing<PylonL<PylonL_IRM .but....if you select the pylon to have IRMs only...the upper PylonL...will disappear leaving a gap..so I think I need attach PylonL to wing...it should then be there whatever weapon u select... so far all I need do is now attach that pylon and set the ne co-ords for the pylonL so bombs etc are correct position,as they are now atm, where the lower pylon was before I detached it to get it to work correctly... that make sense?...lol
Crusader Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 (edited) Russ, you can use the LaunchRail function... , e.g.: ModelNodeName=PylonL <-------- pylon mesh name PylonMass=60 PylonDragArea=0.02 LaunchRailNodeName=PylonL_IRM <-------- name of the rail mesh LaunchRailHeight=0.10 <-------------- height of the rail in cm, then the game puts the missile at the right place LaunchRailMass=25 edit: just for fun ... and spall!ng... russouk2004 Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 (edited) Ahhh yer thbx crusader...saves time that way I got the selections for diff pylons to work...but now 4 of the same weapon appears in dropdown (2 per pylon)amount and should be only 2 selectable?(1 each pylon)...any ideas? loadout.ini specifies one per pylon btw...so its not that causing this.. Crusader Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 looks like a stationgroup # issue .. and/or attachment class you should have 3 station groups outboard pylons = group 1 inboard pylons = group 2 centerline = group 3 your screenie shows 4 ..
