Just lost my best DiD pilot to the enemy after a scramble; in a mission, that seemed totally

screwed up somehow.

I flew it with Labels and TAC on, cause there weren't less than ten S.E.5as falling down on our heads.

So I noticed the first "mad thing": Three S.E.5as, that had crashed and weren't more than burning wrecks,

still showed their labelled names and squadrons.

The second crazy thing, that happened, was, that I shot a good lot into ace Guy Borthwick Moore's S.E.5a Viper.

I hit him so hard, that his craft exploded. But he flew around attacking me even 5 minutes after that!

The third madness was, that I crashed EAST of my airfield Ste.-Marguerite, but was a P.O.W. now.

And to make the mess complete, my claim report was called "erroneus" - no matter how much I changed it.

First I had listed 3 craft, then two, and at last only one - no way!

So I watched the "replay" of the mission. I had downed no less than 5 S.E.5a, and had crashed east of our field.

Anyone had such a crazy mission, too?

Never happened to me, but I could venture a guess.

Unbeknownst to you there was an offensive that started in your sector and the 10 SE5a’s were supporting it. The offensive went so well and so fast that while you were airborne the front rolled right past your aerodrome. That would explain why Guy Borthwick Moore got into another aeroplane so quickly, they had already moved into your aerodrome. It would also explain why you became a POW and your claims were erroneous. The Canadians are an understanding lot but I don’t blame them for not accepting your report.

Either that or your mission was totally bonkers.

I have had planes "explode" and continue fighting. As a matter of fact, this was one of them. The second shot was after the "explosion". As you can see, no appreciable damage.

Hi, Winder. I use DM "Hardcore" - never had such a thing happening before. All is runnig well usually.

Hi, Jammer - yeah, that would explain some of it. But Mr. Moore didn't land and enter another crate -

he was chasing me all the time. But a change of the front - maybe. (Although it was not visible in the "review".)

Hey, CJ - maybe sometimes this can happen. Perhaps we just need to give that craft an extra dose then - Lol!

Those guys are tough, they won't let small things such as their own exploding and burning plane get in the way of their mission. Talk about motivation!

I've never seen anything like that in my game, but once I lost a pilot because the warping went bonkers and teleported my Nieuport a couple of hundred kilometers from France to the North Sea. When coming out of the warp, it was so fun to notice there was almost no fuel left in my Nupe and the closest shore was behind German lines. All that was missing was a Bermuda triangle to swallow my flight of 4 planes! My pilot ended up as a POW. But I've never seen anything similar after that, and it was a few patches ago.

Looks like the Krumpets are really holding a grudge!
