+ST0RM 145 Posted August 20, 2009 Never had a SAM shot at me, but did ask an F-15E pilot that was flying back on the rotator earlier this week. During the early part of OIF, the Iraqis launched several SA-2s at him. They were just ballistic shots, but still impressive to see (his words). Now, AAA, oh yea, that crap isn't fun. I have another one of a ballistic SA-2 over Kep, where the sustainer had burned out. It almost appeared to be flying in formation with the AC that took it Both those images are from "First in, Last Out: Stories by the Wild Weasels" , which I'm currently reading.
