Hawk launcher for allied side question

Hi, i was flying with the su-39 amd mig35 for sf2 series yesterday and noticed the hawk 23 K sam launcher caused havoc to these planes. in other word, this launcherwas so effective I could not get ina position to defend against. i had ecm and chaff and flares going but my whole flight disintegrated for both planes very early on. Almost like less than 5 minutes flying.it was able to detect me once I hit the altn key. is this launcher supposed to be this effective? thx.

Well, the Red side just does not have a clue how to evade SAMs, as there never was one

included in any 3rdwire sim.

 

The quad .50, using the MkI eyball for guidance, and the radar guided PIVADs 20 mm were

about it. No SAMs until 3rd parties made their fiery goodness. Only recently have they

become effective, as prior attempts with the associated search and tracking RADARs looked

good, but were pretty ineffective.

 

If you want to live longer while flying east bloc aerospace vehicles, dumb down the specs

on the Hawks in their respective weapons directory folders. I'd point out the entries, but

am at work, so don't have any of the respective data.ini's handy.

 

I fly blue jets exclusively and am very appreciative of some SAMs that work on our side...

Hi, anyone know what entries to tone down or lower so i can survive longer on the hawk launcher K variant? thx.

The reason that you're getting killed, is mainly due to your warping into the missile's effective envelope. Try flying the entire mission, and use your RHAW gear to warn you of the SAM site's position. Use terrain masking whenever possible, and approach your target at low level. Also, turn off your ECM. Otherwise, The K-model will home in its emissions.

Stay low and then fire a KH-25MP on the Hawk position. You get a nice firework on the ground.
