Mod A/C Availability

Recommended Posts

I've added a number of 3rd party a/c to my copy of WOV, only to find that they're available in small windows, perhaps the first 1/3 of their StartYear/EndYear values. I've modified the Options.ini already, but nothing seems to fix the problem. I am running WOV on a Vista box with the Oct 08 Patch.

Have you checked the aircraft's data.ini to see what year they are available?

Done both, no change.

Off the topic, but would this be the DiceMan of A-10 CMSgt fame at the Hill AFB Depot a few years back?

Assume this is on single missions

what is the last year you can fly in?

Here's what my problem looks like:

FOr example, I've got an F-15C mod that puts the a/c in starting at 1986, and it cuts out at 1991 in single mission. The range for that mod in the .ini file says 1986 to 2015 or something. Another mod, the F-15D cuts out for player in single mission in 1990, can be flown by the AI later than that, because I fought two with a MiG-31 in 1997. Its only the modded aircraft that seem to have this problem. This problem occurs with multiple mods, with different starting years and different cut-offs in single mission.

Now, I know they can go the whole range, because on a previous install of WOV I had on another computer, I got the F-15C to go from 1986 to 2015, same with the F-15D.

And, alas, I can't claim to be that Chief from Hill.
