+Dave Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Finally after not winning since 23 Dec 2007. My Lions finally win a game. I just can't believe it. The drought is over. I am just at a loss for words. Quote
Lt. James Cater Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Lions fan? Boy, you really have lots of patience! BTW, check out the various forums that Washington fans post on. Snyder and Zorn are on the verge of being lynched. Quote
Coot Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I've got a friend from Cincinnati who is a big football/sports fan. Bet he's a happy camper too. Quote

OvS Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Been there with the Jets.... the Kotite years: Year 1 landed us a fine 2-14 season, year 2, the 'rebuilding year' landed a whopping 1-15!!! Hang in there, the Lions are a good team and will turn the corner soon. :) OvS Quote
Coot Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 (edited) I'm sure your friend is happy too as the Bengals beat the Steelers. Doh! As you can see I'm not a sports buff. But if his Bengals won I'm sure he is still happy. Edited September 28, 2009 by Coot Quote
ezlead Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Hey Dave: As they say "on any Sunday". Rozelle wanted parity in the NFL. He sure got it. From the best team to the worst is only about 3-4 players difference. Detroit has their work cut out for them. The old "Black and Blue" division is going to be just that this year. The toughest games they will have are right in their own division. Anyway: "Lions Win - Bears Win" OOOHRAH Quote

Watching Jets games were great for one particular thing. Somehow, someway, they would snatch defeat form the jaws of victory time and again in some of the most spectacular ways. Quote
