Iwas wondering If anyone can tell me about whats new in SFP2E .

 

first i thought it will be same with some new planes and campaigns but when i saw new mods being released separately for it i got to know its different.

 

what i want to know is

 

improvements in game engine

 

game gfx

 

new units (both airplanes and ground objects) etc.

 

if the topic is already discussed please provide the link.

Better cockpit graphics.

 

Better avionics = More modern RWR.

 

A lot of little changes under the hood...

You can now merged install of all SF2 series games seamlessly.

Easier modding.

 

No more multiplayer.

 

No new planes, in fact the F-104 is not flyable anymore.

And stock A-6 is AI-only too in Nam.

 

But there are some new AI-only planes in Europe like ML-series of Floggers, F-84F..

Both flyable if you add one of the Expansion Packs from the Download area - which is a great addition anyway!

 

(Forgot to mention: I'm speaking of the SF2V!)

Nah tons of actual underlying coding changes needed for the avionics/graphics/AI etc - and the work for the new pits would be immense - best off just buying it

SF2E is an upgrade to WOE.

SF2E is an upgrade only in the sense that Windows XP is an upgrade from Windows 98.

 

There is no patch that will upgrade WOE to SF2E.

Guys, here in India WOE costs 350 rupees(or less) which is about $9.

Initially when WOI came out I couldnt buy it; I had had to stiff my grandad for the cash!

Being in college is a bottom feeders existence!Ill buy SF2I if its blow me down out of this world.(and if it works with my 128mb graphics card)

Of course this outlook will alter the moment I start making my own money-9 months to go!

SFP1/SFG/WOV/WOE/FE were available at retailers on CD

 

 

You would want SF2E I would say - its got more jets in it.
