Firing the sparrow missiles in Strike Fighters 2 Vietnam.

Hello people,

I am new to the forum and a new user of Strike Fighters 2 Vietnam. As a fan of good air combat sims I liked this game immediately. However, I am having trouble firing one of the air-to-air weapons. I can fire both the cannon and sidewinder missiles, but when I switch to the sparrow missile and press fire nothing happens. I have read the manual but can't figure out what the hell is going on. Has anyone else encountered this problem and if so can you tell what i need to do to fire this weapon?

Have you locked on to a target with your radar before firing? They will not fire unless you have done that.

You have to hold the trigger for a few seconds, its a safety feature.

If I had to guess, I'd say make sure you've got lock on the target, as USAFMTL stated. Check Fubar's link.
