How do I make SEtendard the canopy does not open? (F1 view)

Open the Data.ini

 

Search for [Canopy]

....

DeployValue

RetractValue

 

DeployValue is probably higher than RetractValue, so switch those values. That should do it.

wouldn't it be far easier to switch to an manual animation key, instead of the old, outdated "automatic airspeed" style???

If you are using the Super Etendard v1.00 for SF2 file, Shift 9 will open and close the canopy, and Shift 10 will fold the wings.

Take a look in the downloads section for the file, since it is already configured for you.

How do you chang from automatic deployment to manual? I have a similiar problem with the Mirage F-1C200 from Column5. The canopy opens in flight and closes when on the ground! This is what's in the data.ini:
