+Winder Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 ATI graphic card? I suppose you've tried plugging in a different USB port. Yes ATI 5870 - no I simply rolled back to TIR4 software and all is well. No time to spend on it! WM Quote
Von Paulus Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 I understand. However there are people complaining with the last 10.4 catalyst drivers and TrackIR 5. Quote
+Olham Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 My TrackIR5 camera does not respond sometimes, when I click the button. I must close TrackIR5 then, and open it again. And the second time it always works. T5 software is just better, and softer. Quote

Barkhorn1x Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Hmmm...I have W7 64bit Home Edition the TIR4 hardware w/ TIR5 software and I have not experienced an issue w/ TIR - except that it takes the TIR software about 10 seconds to activate in sim (not much of an issue). I do not have TIR running on boot up but start it each session. Don't know if that makes a difference or not. Quote
+Olham Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 No, doesn't. I start it each time, and still it often doesn't "reach the camera" - only after closing it, and starting it again. Quote
Herr Prop-Wasche Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 My TIR4 with TIR5 software usually starts up without a hitch, but it does occasionally freeze the first time I start it. As Olham said, closing and then opening it again always seems to get it to work again. Quote
Duce Lewis Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 My 2c on this: I have just finished setting up my OFF Development Win7 (64) OS PC and I found that Trackir5 software would not always initialise properly on auto startup when the OS booted. Trackir4 software on the other hand does and so I am sticking with that for the time being... Oh yeah and I have Trackir4 hardware YMMV WM Thanks Winder, I think I'm goona give the TIR5 software a try But, as you say, if it doesn't work well I can always roll it back Quote
+Olham Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Just start it again, if it doesn't recognise the camera first time - you shouldn't have other problems. Quote
