WOI on windows7

Hello

 

After I install the game on windows 7 all went perfect (loading/playing) but when I press Esc. to finish the mission -> the game crashes to desktop and do not save any progess.

Any help on this?

i do not have win7 but woi according to thirdwire website says that woi is for xp/2000, i recommend get woi2 for win7

WoI works just fine in Win7 ... you just need to make sure you're at the most current patch level; 10/20/2008 iirc, and that you have the most current DX9 installed

 

Been running it with no issues in Win7 64 Ultimate.

 

be advise, however, skypats' old cat extractor does NOT work in Win7, so to pull anything from the various and sundry cat files, you'll need to use Gerwin's Extractor.

 

Weapons and gun editors seem to be ok, as long as compatibilit is set to Win95/98.

I'm trying to run ODS on Win7-64bit.

I've set compatibility to WinXP, but I'm getting this error ; missing d3dx9_dll

I know what it means, but don't know how to fix it.Can anyone help, please?

turtlehawk update your directx9 to the latest version, it should take care of the missing dll

I have a GTS250, running Dx10, I think.

Will Win7 allow you to have more than one version on a machine at the same time?

In other words, can I have Dx9 and Dx10, installed simultaneously?

Yes its fine - install the DX package from Microsoft. SF1 will not use DX10 or 11 only DX9.
