F-104C Starfighter Sidewinder Catamaran Mount

I lost some aircraft in an HD issue recently and managed to salvage all but some of my Starfighters. I went to download Ajunaidr's F-104C from Column5, but in WOE it does not have the Sidewinder catamaran mount. I had an F-104C a while back with this modeled. I am not sure if this was Ajundair's or not. His F-104G has it. Is there any way I can add this to my 'C' model without going into some sort of 3D modeling program?

If you go to SF1 downloads, addon aircraft, there is another F-104A/C pack by Dave. Right at the end on page 3, from memory. This may contain what you seek.

C models never carried the lower mount sidewinders .... erosion issues on the seeker heads from being so close to the ground.

 

Oddly, G's did....

 

BTW, if one looks in the data ini, and probably the OUT file (if supplied -or into the lod via a hex editor), you should be able to find the node names and re-add them

F-104C's did carry the catamaran rack but it was VERY RARE. They were wired for it along with a B28 in the centerline. You almost would never see an F-104C with 2 AIM-9s under the belly. It would still be a nice feature to have in a game where the Cold War is hot.

Yeah they only carried them operational maybe 3 to 4 times then they saw the messed up seeker heads and it was no longer an authorized load.

I wonder if operators of the F-104G and F-104S had the same issues. Maybe we didn't take enough street sweepers to the runways

Hmm for some reason the catamaran for the Sidewinders doesn't show up on the Starfighter Pack I downloaded.

Hi, how do I do this and is this similar to removing nodes like converting planes from SF2 to SF1?
