Olham 164 Posted March 4, 2011 (edited) Yes, we are great, aren't we? Ahem - and as you walk to the bar: I'll have a big Warsteiner! Congrats for getting it to work - I love this sim so much, that I can't bear, when another pilot has a problem with his gear. Pawgy 0 Posted March 5, 2011 (edited) As if you don't have enough confusion right now, there are two virtual cockpits. The first being one of the cycle views of ( F4 ) The second one (which I believe you need) is in the CFS3 Controls, but it's unassigned at installation. So assign it a control you have you have no use for in OFF. Like 'V' for the flaps you don't have. PS . . . You definately need it for Trackir, not sure about the hat switch anymore . . it's been awhile That is confusing. Whoever said OFF has a steep learning curve was putting it mildly. When i go to Quick combat using the cfs3 on the bottom left in the workshop and go to controls I have Virtule Cockpit and assigned "c"on the keyboard and button 2 on my JoyStick. I also have Cockpit(toggle) which goes back and forth between the virtule CP and no cockpit. Just an aiming circle. That is f3 on the keyboard and button 5 on my controller. F4 on my keyboard is "next view" or view forward cycle, and cycles thru, chase view .virtule CP, Player to target, and rotate view. Should I be doing something different? I am using my hat switch in snap only so it always comes back to the cockpit. Pawgy Edited March 5, 2011 by Pawgy
Pawgy 0 Posted March 6, 2011 For an external view of my aircraft, rather then mess around with ( F4 ) I use Float View ( Shift+F6) on my 3 Just tried the Float view and I like it better than the chase view.
+Polovski 460 Posted March 8, 2011 You can't have a decent sim without having a zillion keys to do something or that can be customised ;). WW1 needs less keys than WW2 btw ;) Having said that default keys are OK, with one or two tweaks. There's also guides in your installation folder See the FAQ at the top for info on where to find (under "External guides and help:"), and other key guides. http://overflandersfields.com/FAQ
