newport54 Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I have W7 Ultimate on a Dell Pentium xps9100 (with HD 5970) but I cant seem to load the ODS program (or NATO fighters either) I followed all the directions for ODS -- (clean WOE copy, Oct 2008 patch, delete campaign and aircraft folders) and then the 3 ODS installers. They all seem to work ok in the installation process but then when I open the WOE file none of that ODS stuff is in there I am using the RAR zip process too Any ideas -- help -- please Thank you Quote
MigBuster Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 (edited) Look at the folders where the installs are on the PC - or provide a screenshot - the files need to go at the correct level in the folder. by the way this is WOE and not SF2E yes? Edited May 12, 2011 by MigBuster Quote
F117NightHawk Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 ODS shouldn't work in SP2:E. I have it working fine in WOE. Except for mission loading times (which I shouldn't be surprised at), every thing works fine. Quote
Wrench Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 and most importantly ... WHERE is you WoE install???? if you've installed to the defalut location (C/ProgramFiles(x86), you won't be able to mod/edit it. For Win7, ALL 1stGen game need to be installed in the root if C/ --there's even a mention of this somewhere in KB, and in several post by folks with the same issue. so, your path would be: C:\Wings Over Europe and, as been menitoned above, it don't work in SF2. +FLOGGER23 Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Something else to remember, you need to hace Direct X 9 the last version for the game to load, 1st gen games need it. Quote
newport54 Posted May 14, 2011 Author Posted May 14, 2011 Thanks all I was able to get ODS loaded with your help. Now have a problem loading the final NATO Fighters Part 4 It doesnt have an exe for it and while the RAR is extracting it it just doesnt load into the game. The other 3 parts loaded fine.
