OS platforms for SF2 Series

Hey folks, quick question,

 

I would like to purchase the SF2 series but I noticed the on the TW website the os platform is Win7/Vista, I thought I noticed at one time the 2nd series also supported XP. Was this ever the case?, or is this series just for Win7/Vista?

it works for both XP and Vista and 7 (the latter preferably) BUT you'll get much better performance and certain eyecandy features like normal and specular mapping for aircraft, better lightning and effects with Dx10 shaders with Vista and 7

He might be ditching XP support in newer patches as its dx9 only - best to ask the man himself really to clarify.

The F-14 sim will be the first to drop support for DX9.
