jjddoo Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Hey everyone, I'm a little new here, so bear with me if this is an obvious problem... The stock aircraft in my WOI install are having issues. The markings and all show up, but everything else is white. Example: On the Mirage IIICJ, the squadron markings, national markings, and diagonal red strips on the rudder show up, but where the paint job should be is white. On the F-4E, the fuselage shows white, and the wings have the proper paint job. Whats up with this??? It isn't exactly a crucial problem - nothing with flying or anything, but I kinda want a good look on these things. BTW, I have several extra aircraft, and their skin's show up fine. Can anyone help??? Thanks. Quote
Spinners Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 (edited) Hi jjddoo, Welcome to Combat Ace. You have textures missing (or corrupted). Edited as just noticed OP is making his/her first post. Edited August 10, 2011 by Spinners Quote
jjddoo Posted August 10, 2011 Author Posted August 10, 2011 Downloaded it from somewhere - wanted to try it before I bought it... So the problem should fix itself when I buy and install from the disc? 1 Quote
+Florian Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Downloaded it from somewhere - wanted to try it before I bought it... So the problem should fix itself when I buy and install from the disc? Stock Aircraft and Skins are working always fine. "Downloaded it from somewhere..." isn´t a nice action (beside it´s not really legal), but even pretty dangerous, because you don´t know what you are installing there at all. If you buy the game, stick to the new Sims, instead Wings over Israel, buy Strike Fighters 2: Israel for example. They are in general the same game, but heavy improved with more options and features. jjddoo Posted August 10, 2011 Author Posted August 10, 2011 (edited) Thanks for the tips everyone. I may buy SF2 Israel, but I need to build myself a desktop first (only have a laptop, which can't handle it)... PS, I'm taking off that downloaded install. Edited August 10, 2011 by jjddoo Quote
