gkidman 0 Posted August 31, 2011 (edited) Could someone please tell me if it is possible to have overflandersfields Phase 2 e.g. on an external drive as well as having Between Heaven and Hell still remaining on an existing drive as there are many missions of Phase 2 that I have downloaded and would like to use. If it is possible could somebody tell me how . much appreciated Gary garykidman@hotmail.co.uk Edited August 31, 2011 by gkidman
Olham 164 Posted August 31, 2011 I'm not the real expert here, Gary, but I guess it won't work. "Over Flanders Fields" has folders on the C:bootdrive, and even if you could install a second version of the sim on another drive, I guess it would still want to use the same folders on the C:drive. But hopefully I'm wrong.
+Stary 2,427 Posted August 31, 2011 I think the OFF manager could cause issues here, the CFS3 engine wouldn't cause troubles as I have separate CFS3 installs and OFF P3 on my drive, but one could try moving existing OFF install to different folder and then installng older Phase... I can't guarantee success though
gkidman 0 Posted August 31, 2011 Many thanks for your quick reply from you guys by the sounds of things I'd best leave things as they are and have B&H on it's own unless someone else comes up with another suggestion but thanks for your advice. gary I'm not the real expert here, Gary, but I guess it won't work. Lewie 7 Posted August 31, 2011 If you download CFS3's Battle of Britain patch it comes with a neat little app that allows you to have multiple CFS3 installs without conflicts due to trying to load the last CFS3 install's aircraft and scenery, It's called MultiCFS3.exe. Multi CFS3 executable. Just install it in the separate folder of each install.
+Polovski 460 Posted August 31, 2011 OFF has it's own registry settings though - and specific places for settings and files any CFS3 tool won't cope with those too. Answer is with some manual technical fiddling each time you switched programs of registry and various folders and paths (backing up and restoring etc blah) maybe possible, but for the normal user totally not recommended. Not recommended and not supported to have P2 and P3 installed for anyone either.
Olham 164 Posted August 31, 2011 (edited) Gary, don't be sad - there are many missions for BHaH here, too. Just look into the download section here: http://combatace.com...mitted__num__10 Look for those files with the end ...mission. Like: "Olham's Gotha Escort Mission" which wasn't made by, but for me, by RAF_Louvert - but not solely for me. Try it - it's great! .
