+pappychksix Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 For those who are interested, TCM (Turner Classic Movies) is airing "Towards the Unknown" tomorrow (November 12th) at 10:30 pacific time. Great movie with Willaim Holden along with aircraft you just can see anywhere else like the XB-61 and F-94C Starfire. Great movie if you haven't seen it... Pappy
+RAVEN Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Thanks Pappy. Have to watch it . We had a flight of 5 Texan's fly over today in tight formation, It was just nice to see.
tomcat Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I am a big fan of this film. Unfortunately, he comes to rare in Germany. regards from Tomcat
+Wrench Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 been about 15 years since it was aired. One of my favs! actually, the Gilbert XF-120 was the XB-51; historically, it was to replace the Martin-built Canberras don't forget the quickie view of the XF-92 at the opening where Lloyd Nolan crashes in front of Holden's car for futher reading (and cool behind-the-scenes stuff) http://www.bellx-2.com/index.html
Lexx_Luthor Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Wrench, did your mushy foam Windows keyboard get the -51 and Canberra order mixed up?
