I played 9 demo, also recently 10, looks and feels "right"

 

There's some combat implementation in it from what I've read and seen on Ytube... worth?

I tried it. I liked the way it felt, but, performance was BAD. Almost as bad as IL-2 Cliffs of Dover.

 

My specs:

Nvidia GTX 260 Superclocked 896MB

 

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 superclocked @ 3.61GHz

 

6GB DDR2 RAM

 

Windows 7 Pro x64

 

On medium settings I was getting an average of 10FPS...

yeah "10" gives quite so-so performances here albeit with O/C 560Ti, roger it does "fell" ok for me

Especially since I'm used to playing games at 40-70FPS.

From what Ive read cliffs of Dover needs a screaming fast CPU and a fast video card with a ton of Vram... guys who are running the EVGA 580 classified 3 gig card pushed by a 4 gig or faster quad or hex core CPU are getting great Frame rates over London ...every one else is pretty much screwed.

I have some 25-30+ in X-plane 10 with such settings:

 

 

I think it's on the high settings with overgrown trees setting, so it's kinda ok for civilian sim.

 

of course it likes to suddenly drop to 12 or something when loading new areas etc

 

But, how's the series in general, asking the long time users of X9

Yea, I may try installing it again and try further tweaking of settings, but since it's a civilian, I'm not too distraught about the performance.

I've had the demo for awhile now. I've updated it twice I think with the beta patches. Performance has improved for me since I first got it. In other words they are definentely workng on it. FWIW
