Hi Sky, I see you are new here, so welcome onboard.

Pay attention to detail when modding. Last week I was wondering why a plane is invisible as the mission started. I simple had a wrong entry in an ini file.

Some weapon has specitic station codes on the plane and each weapon hast a specific diameter, weight, length, type of weapon and some more stuff. Make sure the plane is capable to carry a specific weapon.

Pls keep asking, you have entered one of the friendliest public forums I have ever seen.

Skyknight, one thing you'll learn about CombatAce is that the downloads section provides a sometimes bewildering variety; and that's of the same mod! If you d'load ModX from the SF1 section and convert it for SF2, you'll have one thing. If you d'load ModXforSF2, you'll have another. ModXforSF2 ver.1.0, ver.1.0%2, ver.2.0...you get the picture. Having said that, there are at least two packs (MiG-29 Pack 2.0 and MiG-29 Pack 2%2e0) that have both the MiG-29G AND R-27s and R-77s specifically for that aircraft. I just did a quick looksee and search but, the search turned up single MiG-29s but no packs. They are there though, but at 68 pages long, you'll have to do the legwork yourself. Try not to get lost in there, it's amazing what you'll find. When you do find them, IIRC you may have to mess around with one of the missiles to get it to show (don't remember which one). If they give you too much of a problem, just post back; open a new thread though, we're already pretty far from "SU-15 Lights" as it is. :big_boss:

Edit: Ha, Ha! Found it (search Fulcrum, not MiG-29) : http://combatace.com/files/file/12489-the-mirage-factory-mig-29-fulcrum-mod/ . More Migs than you can shake a stick (or Sidewinder) at.

Well this is what i was talking about: http://combatace.com/files/file/13940-mig29c-russian-af7z/

The file submitter, wrote that those missiles could be added through the loadout.ini but when i tried to add them, the missiles don't show up :cry:

Is it has something to do with the order of putting them in the .ini or the missiles should be added through another .ini

Hmm sorry once again to add something that doesn't concern the Su-15 lights. :biggrin:

Strange, the data.ini is set the way that even if you have nothing AHM related in the loadout.ini through the loadout screen you can still select AHM-s for all 6 wing weapon stations.

For the ease of work add the bellow to your mig-29_loadout.ini, respectively after the already existing air2air and air2airLongR entries. This will enable auto loading of the missiles. Please note that these missiles are available from 1997 onward not before.

[AirToAir_AHM]

StartDefaultDate=1997

DefaultFor=CAP,INTERCEPT

Loadout[01].WeaponType=Mig-29_CFT

Loadout[01].Quantity=1

Loadout[08].WeaponType=R-77 Mig29

Loadout[08].Quantity=1

Loadout[09].WeaponType=R-77 Mig29

Loadout[09].Quantity=1

Loadout[12].WeaponType=R-73 Mig29

Loadout[12].Quantity=1

Loadout[13].WeaponType=R-73 Mig29

Loadout[13].Quantity=1

Loadout[20].WeaponType=R-73 Mig29

Loadout[20].Quantity=1

Loadout[21].WeaponType=R-73 Mig29

Loadout[21].Quantity=1

[AirToAirLongRange_AHM]

StartDefaultDate=1997

DefaultFor=SWEEP,ESCORT

Loadout[01].WeaponType=Mig-29_CFT

Loadout[01].Quantity=1

Loadout[08].WeaponType=R-77 Mig29

Loadout[08].Quantity=1

Loadout[09].WeaponType=R-77 Mig29

Loadout[09].Quantity=1

Loadout[16].WeaponType=R-77 Mig29

Loadout[16].Quantity=1

Loadout[17].WeaponType=R-77 Mig29

Loadout[17].Quantity=1

Loadout[20].WeaponType=R-73 Mig29

Loadout[20].Quantity=1

Loadout[21].WeaponType=R-73 Mig29

Loadout[21].Quantity=1

When you edit loadout files, you have to change also the station id numbers. For example Loadout[08] means stationID08, if you check the normal air2airlong range entry you see that on the same place it says Loadout[04], but station 4 can not use the r77 mig29 specific station code missiles as those are set for R27 so the need for change to station8.

In case some loadout file doesn't lists the individual stations and what they carry, then you can find the info in the AC's_data.ini.
