Geary Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 I've downloaded a few planes over the years that have internal gun data in the plane's data.ini file, but the main gun won't fire. I have one now. The gun data is in the gundata.ini file; ran the gundata editor and still won't fire. I changed out the gun data with other guns that work in the same install. Still won't work. Where else besides the Internal Gun entry in the plane data.ini file should I look? Thanks, Geary
+Wrench Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 SF2 uses seperat folders for each gun, in the /Objects folders. best way, is download the McGunnyPak, as it's got all the guns all set up for SF2 as such, the gundata.ini for all weapons dosen't exist anymore
Geary Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 OOPS, Posted in the wrong generation. Meant to post in SF1 Series.
+Fubar512 Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 (edited) There are several reasons why it may not work. For example; Is the gun properly listed in the model's data.ini? Once as a system name or component name, under say, the fuselage section on the data.ini, and then once again as under that system name in its own section? Edited February 22, 2012 by Fubar512
Geary Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 Thank you, Fubar512, Another ini-bit mystery solved for me. The fuselage entry and the main gun entry names didn't match. Matched them up and Voila! Guns galore. Now to adjust them to a more correct position. Geary
