Looking at redoing the new Iceland terrain

I am really disappointed in the new terrain its worse then the old one, and I would like to make a whole new high detailed one, does anyone no the process?

I have 3ds max.

just use baltika's Full Scale ver2.0

 

save yourself the time and effort

Yeah maybe I spent 10mins and redid the ground textures didn't take much. Sucks because you cant have a different normal for the snow or rocks and if its to strong it over powers the diffuse texture, so its better to have almost no normal map.

Are there any trees on the NA Iceland map?

I haven't seen any.

 

I don't have SF2NA yet but on the screenshots I saw, no trees to be seen.

Until TK gives us some guidelines I'm afraid it's going to be a case of heavy trial and error

I'm in the other home, but back in the first place I'll concentrate on cracking the terrain format... that after this weekend I guess

trees are in 'clumps' now AND are destroyable!! Since they're LOD based now. They don't have a destroyed model, but show up as little areas burning.
