Have you ever been curious as to what the West really looked like during the later half of the 19th century? These images are incredible, especially when one considers that they were taken 140+ years ago!

As someone who has lived in Nevada, Utah, and Arizona i really enjoy the clueless comments in that thread. Everytime i wince reading dumb comments from Americans concerning Europe, it's nice to see that lots of folks over there are equally dense sometimes.
